  1. I live in Shelton, mrsinister has been mentioned in this thread, and Richliveshots69 lives in Olympia
  2. I saw three on my way home from Oregon yesterday. A red one with a utility rack, a black one with slate blue pinstripes, and slate blue jeep logo on the gate, and a white pioneer. I was going in the opposite direction, in my celica, so I didn't have cards or anything... but they are definitely still out there...
  3. I've got $25 for one, just say when and where to send the money...
  4. I have handed out two in the last week, A red 2wd longbed 1991, a buddy of mine is a mechanic, and he had this one at his shop for a new tranny. I gave him a card to stick on the seat. Couple of days ago, at the salvage yard, I had a couple of guys come in looking for 1988 Trooper parts. They showed up in a blue 1988 2wd long bed, I personally handed them a card before they even made it in the office.
  5. Welcome to the club, though I have to say: 'this thread is worthless without pics'
  6. I own two vehicles right now that I use on a regular basis, my 88 MJ, and an 85 Celica with a 22RE. Neither one has let me down yet. They both require extra maintenance, but they are easy to maintain, and generally easy to fix. Walking away from a legacy like that because you think a Ford is more reliable is up to you, but every old vehicle requires upkeep. Enjoy your Prius when you have to shell out thousands for a battery. I'll stick to my MJ.
  7. pulled a new headlight harness off of an XJ in my yard today, need to dissect it, pull the pins, and clean it up, then make it work on the MJ
  8. I'd trade you in a heartbeat, snow really sucks when the jeep is the only rig I have that will get around in the stuff...
  9. I cleaned off all the snow, and cleaned out the garage. As soon as my roommate wakes up, I can put the two together, and finish the jeep in the garage... yay :clapping:
  10. On a side note, I have been procrastinating on finishing the Jeep, and then we got hit with an ugly snow storm here in western WA. The incentive to finish the jeep has returned, and pics and progress will start to flow again.
  11. I have two coats on the body, and have gone through a gallon and a half. The other half is for the inside of the cab, and then I am going to use the last gallon to really thicken up the inside of the bed...
  12. I used Herculiner on my MJ. I think it turned out nice, and I only spent $210 on three kits, I still have a kit and a half left, and only a few minor pieces left to finish. You can see it in my build thread. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=17707
  13. I've done mine 4 times now, in the truck, I can change one out in about 20 minutes. My exhaust system has been butchered, I am 5'9" and weigh in about 145. I can sit up between the exhaust pipe and the tank, and look right at the pump, makes life really easy.
  14. quick update, the dash harness has been completely rebuilt, every connector replaced, burnt wires removed and replaced. I am now a solder master... lol. I just have a few more pins to plug back in, and it will be ready to reinstall into the jeep. I am stoked, she is almost roadworthy again.
  15. that is such a perfect answer in my opinion...
  16. looks like she needs some work, but definitely a good place to start...
  17. you could try this place too: http://www.dkhardware.com/product-30693-etrv700bt-tri-vent-three-panel-truck-sliding-window-with-dark-gray-glass-for-1986-1992-jeep-comanche.html
  18. i used vinyl and cloth spray paint, purchase at Schucks/O'Reilley Auto Parts, it was inexpensive and worked pretty well, but I didn't try it on carpet, just the vinyl...
  19. the seats are easy, four bolts apiece. To pull the carpet, you have to pull or loosen most of your trim panels. To get the center up, first remove the cover plate for the 4wd lever (the plate that lights up) It just pops out, but do it carefully, it is plastic. There should be one screw under that. Then remove your shift knob, your shift boot is attached to a plastic base that just clips into the console, carefully remove that, and then you have two more screws and it'll come right out.
  20. yep, same thru 96. Lot of work to replace though...
  21. Wow I've never seen that one on the bottom left. Anyone have a good pic of that style. best pic I have of my mirrors:
  22. :agree: what else can I say, info covered, easy peasy
  23. I only have 118 (119 with this) posts, but would like to think I am an active member... criteria for active is crucial
