  1. RE 3.5 inch springs and new rubber pads.
  2. Axle wrap and just peace of mind I guess. Think I'm sitting at about 4 inches but not planning on going any taller unless I go all out with ton axles and 4 link in the rear.
  3. General Springs on 31's plenty of room for 32s Metric Ton with an extra inch of arch over stock and adjustable rear shackles from IronManFab (I think)
  4. Krusty you start making them lemme know. I havent put much thought into it but if it's as good as the hitch you made I'd go on my short list. Might actually SOA my bucket....
  5. Ironman Fab 4x4 i think
  6. Yeah got the track bar finally in a decent spot and torqued down. Forgot to set the pins in the ball joints while it was on the stand like an idiot. Going to torque everything down today and start adjusting. I cringe a little everytime I jack up the passenger side by the lower control arm bracket. Seems a bit flimsy. 7. They're from cavfab but yeah I'm going to wait until I get it all together before I freak out too much. Don't want to torque anything down until she's in her own weight. There's a 4 inch lift on the front with extended upper bump stops. Going to add to the bottom once I can flex and measure. Going to go with the old hockey Puck bolted to the bottom trick lol. 8. Put in some adjust control arms today and the uppers don't look right. The gap could fit a decent width washer on both ends specially the passenger side. Also the angle does the driveshaft looks low. Nothing is torqued down, no shocks installed and springs are just kind of hanging out. Went off the lengths posted on these forums for the lengths. 9. I'll let ya know tomorrow. Haven't had the chance to pull the bench down yet. Garage is finally cleaned out Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  10. I'm missing the middle seat belts anyway. Figured I'd give it a shot to match my new seat cover Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  11. Looking for a set of black bench seat belts in working condition. Thanks. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah ended up just grabbing some from black magic. Kicking myself for it since the markup is insane but least I know they're good parts. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  13. Went to go put my brakes together today and something isnt right. The pads are too close together to fit on the rotors. Everything is brand new and the calipers are pushed in as far as they'll go. They're off by a bit 1/8 of an inch or so
  14. Finding a good rust free comanche in alaska is going to be a pain.
  15. The hose clamp was pretty loose. Think I forgot to hit it with the socket instead of just a flat head. Its raining out now but hopefully that'll solve it.
  16. I'll try to tighten the hose. Luckily most the dash is out already
  17. Got a nice little trickle coming down the from the spot on the top of the photo. Thinking its the heater core. Just changed out the upper hose the other day. Didn't see a green tint to the stuff but was using a sheet of paper hahaha. What do you guys think?
  18. Just wanted to bump this up to remind myself to keep it updated. Not much has happened lately. Been fighting the engine temp war now for forever. Starting to think there's an electrical issue. I could list off the stuff I've replaced but if you can think of it, its most likely been done at least once if not multiple times. Anyway I just ordered some new bilstein shocks, CavFab control arms, black magic pads, Centric brake rotors and finished up my axle shafts for the D30. Going to start torquing everything down today and hopefully get it installed this week. Going to use the old measurements on steering to try and get a half decent alignment until I can get it to a shop. There was a thread about control arm lengths I'm going to go off as well since there isn't a good off road alignment shop close by. Will be nice to have 4x4 again. D30 - 410 gears, later model shafts w/ full circle clips and larger ujoints, new spicer ball joints, ZJ drag link, ebay special track bar, RE 3.5 inch lift springs, MOOG coil pads, outer/inner seals, YJ brake lines and POR 15 over the entire axle. Thinking about welding a couple washers on the axle side track bar mount and if I could go back I wouldve reinforced the C's on the end of the housing. Eventually I'm going to get a better track bar and steering box brace probably from IronMan4x4Fabrication. Retirement in 29 days so I'll have plenty of time to turn wrench again!
  19. Yeah they said 7 days for shipping but I'll believe it when I see it.
  20. Ended up grabbing CavFab short arms. Deal was pretty good with them being on sale. Under 300 shipped and aside from their shipping times the reputation is good. Plus it gives me money to put aside for shocks here soon.
  21. Born and raised in Anchorage. Going back eventually after the military. Just got my retirement date yesterday so I'll be done in 39 days. After that I have to wait for thr wife to retire and off we go. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  22. Lol nice. Yeah I'm prob just going to go with shorts. NP242 is perfect for Alaska with the full time option. It's rebuilt with a new chain and I might step up to 33s one day so it won't get beat up much. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  23. Almost done rebuilding my front axle and looking into control arms. On the fence with the Tier 2 Core 4x4 arms or long arms. I'm running on 4 inches of lift with minimal off roading. Hunting trails mostly. I havent found much in the way of long arms for the comanche and even less for an NP242. Guess theres something different with the transfercase. Anyway shoot me some suggestions.
  24. The back end isn't too bad even with the MTs. They were a precaution since it's going to be a hunting vehicle in the next couple years when I get back to Alaska. I keep a tool box with spare parts, fluids, emergency stuff (blanket/MRE/water) and tools of course in the back. Eventually I'll get an better rear bumper but she does have a hitch. I know the old hag isn't going to feel like a newer jeep just looking for something that doesn't rattle my teeth when I'm driving down a gravel road. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
  25. I just ordered some RE springs to try out. Only 100 bucks so can't go wrong. I ended up getting stage two short arms from core 4x4. I don't off road much aside from some hunting trails. Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
