sigh....I'm done with this thread, i just thought that being a kid meant not having to worry about little rules like this. Because ive got 50+ years of work ahead of me and I'm aware that I'm just gonna have to live with it. I just figured that id enjoy my last year as a "kid" without worrying about these stupid rules. But maybe i do have to grow up and i won't realize that until I'm older...and i appreciate the comments u guys are giving me even if i don't like them. I realize you guys are older and more wise than myself so maybe ill take your advice. Thanks guys.

Maybe I should have described my school first. There are 100 or so kids in my graduating class and we are all good friends. I could tell you the name of every person in my high school. Personally I keep nothing of value in my locker, except maybe a soda bottle. And even if my soda bottle did get stolen so what, then the school could use their cameras place every ten feet to find who stole it...end of story. What I'm trying to say is there is nothing of value in there and it is just so much easier to not open it 10 times a day. The rule is sorta like telling you to lock your truck doors at night even thought it's sitting in a house with locked doors and an ADT security installed. It's overkill. And I don't want to hear anymore "growing up" comments. I work 30 hours a week on top of school and sports to pay for MJ stuff, gas, cell phone, etc. I'm in Advanced Placement classes and really understand that I need a good education and I've been on the distinguished honor roll many a times. Never had detention in my life...I'm overall a good, responsible kid. But I'm just sick of all these dumb little rules our administration is making. We also have a "paper famine" this year where teachers are not allowed to copy more than a set amount and we have "banned" library books too....but those are a whole nother' can of worms. The reason open lockers are a safety hazard is because one or two kids complained about after walking into them. Well in order to walk into a florescent yellow locker, you'd have to be blind and walking a foot away from the wall in a 15 foot wide hallway. I just don't see the logic. It's overkill.

Normally I am not the kind of person to complain about school but this year is that ridiculous I almost have to. I'm a senior, got accepted to college, and am just breezing my way through toward graduation with not worrying too much about anything. Welllll.....a new school rule was put into place 2 days ago stating that..."Students are reminded to please close their locker doors after use. Leaving them open is a safety hazard. Faculty & staff are also asked to close any locker doors they see open." Now all the teachers shut our lockers 10 times a day and my enrichment teacher is getting pissed at people who aren't listening and still leaving their lockers open...such as myself and about 90% of the school. She gave us a speech today and asked what we are going to do when we get into the real world and have to deal with stupid rules like this all the time. Well honestly, I could CARE LESS what she thinks, I'm NOT shutting my locker and I hope they start giving us detention....then I'll really have a reason to flip #$*@! Me and a couple of friends are gonna put big metal No Trespassing signs on our lockers Monday as a joke. :rotfl2: And I might be crazy but I think a downhill sidewalk with 4 inches of snow on it is more of a hazard than open lockers, but they don't do anything about that! Rant over.

Don't worry dude, I was in the same situation a month or two ago. Got the sister's XJ stuck in the middle of a corn field about 200 feet off the side of a road down in a gully where a spring runs. And the guy that owns the field is a real $%@*# for people trespassing...which I was. Got buried up to the leaf springs in mud and it took two chevys to pull me out. My one friend with me during the ordeal didn't think that we should've gone through the ditch but said (and i quote) "If your gonna do it, give 'er hell!!!" And with that line of encouragement...I floored it! :rotfl2:

It's looks like PA might be getting in on this one now!

What should I do to my eliminator?
MJ300 replied to Squeegy410's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
All MJ's have a spring under design. As for lifting it for cheap...spacers and shackles are a common way to get an inch or two, at 3" and higher your looking at much more $ to do it the right way. -
I was the other guy that bought the a NOS bedside a few months ago. Got it at a going out of sale auction at the local jeep dealer along with 2 NOS rear bumpers. Sat in a warehouse for 23 years. And no I didn't get around to priming it yet cause of other jeep projects  ......but it is in the nice warm house. :D

I got the driver's side working with the tan and black/gray wires...but it was with a pair of jumpers and alligator clips. :brows: So by that wiring diagram you've got (you sent it to be a while back) those three wires that go crossbody are white, black, and green??? That's the part confusing me...the diagram shows an org/wht wire turning into the black wire, and a vio/wht wire turning into the green wire.....and then the white wire comes out of no where in the left kick panel? :hmm:

Working on wiring up power window and have a couple of questions to get me going in the right direction...and yes I searched first. 1. I've read that there's a connector on the wiring harness for the power supply that plugs into the fuse box but can't seem to find that plug, where's it at? 2. Once I find that plug where in the fuse box does it go? 3. How many/what wires go to the passenger side?? I think I remember reading that there's 5?

Pfft.....every team is inferior to Penn State, Joe Pa FTW!!!

Welp, was a good game. I definitely applaud Gilbert's turn around in the second half too...got a bit scared after that second touchdown he threw though. But you were right Don, Bama's defense won it for em. Oh yeah and as for my prediction. :brows: Actual: 37-21 BAMA Damn I'm good!!!
-
Uh oh.

Yeah I saw his eyes watering a bit....actually feel kinda bad for the poor kid being put in one of the biggest games he'll probably ever see in his life with all that pressure. This smiley describes him perfectly right now... :help: :rotfl2:

It almost looks like Nebraska's defense in Texas uniforms!
-
Welp, tonight's the night boys! Any last minute predictions??? I say it's gonna be a close game but I think Bama's offense is going to tire out the Longhorn defense and pull away in the second half. I say 33-20 BAMA.

I 99% sure its not the one for the cig lighter because I found that wire (its the other orange wire in the right side of the pics), but dash lighting sounds like a plausible answer though....now what in the world would I wanna light up? :hmm:
-
I'm currently wiring up my fog lights and came across this in the place where the power/comfort switch would be on an XJ and was wondering what it was. Black and orange w/ blk stripe wires, 92 MJ. On a side note, I added the light that makes that bluish ring on the cig lighter glow but it didn't come on...the cig lighter works fine but light doesn't.....any ideas??? Bad bulb maybe?

I agree...just like a tall, goofy, and ugly subie. :hmm:

I vote option 2 or 3. Turn it into a nice DD and let it see the open road a little bit since it's been "parked" for a good portion of its life. The brake booster, gauge upgrades, and bucket seats would be nice upgrades for a DD and it wouldn't take away from the originalness of the truck like a SOA truck sitting on 35's isn't even close to stock. Just my 2 cents.
