  1. Looking for a Chrysler 8.25 29 spline with 3.55 gears.....drum to drum preferably. :typing:
  2. Hey Wade, do I have your permission to use a picture of your ugly truck for the MJ slide? :clapping:
  3. Very nice websites and videos!
  4. I need a big favor guys. I'm working on a powerpoint presentation on a topic of my choice for my senior project and of course I chose jeeps. Now I must admit I know alot about the "newer jeeps" like XJ's, MJ's, YJ's, ZJ's, etc... but don't know much about the very first jeeps that branded the name. If someone could give me a little bit of info about the first military jeeps or older Willy's or something of the sort, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
  5. Yep, I listen to that song a lot actually....it's the only song of his that I really like, but damn is it good.
  6. I'll more than likely be bringing a few local wheeling buddies as well. Depending on who I can get to go, there will a a lifted dakota, F150, TJ, Blazer, and maybe a durango. Can't wait!

    2010 schedual

I'm good to go to Rausch whenever. You guys just pick a date and I'll free up the weekend and take off work. I more than likely won't be bringing an MJ because of the fact that my red one has a new paint job and I'm afraid to even drive it in the rain. And the newly acquired '86 is not running yet and is only an open diff 2wd. I'll probably just bring the '01 XJ....

    New tires:

How are you liking these tires? Any updates on any wear or other issues........I'm thinking about ordering some for my XJ because I'm tired of patching the ones that are on it.
  9. I'd just sand it off and be done with it. Go to your local hardware store and buy some Krylon Fusion paint of your color choice and repaint 'em. The fusion adheres VERY well to almost anything, including plastic. I've heard that it actually has an "adhesion promoter" in the paint which is why it bonds to almost anything. I myself have used it with great results ---> viewtopic.php?f=9&t=17361
  10. Been there plenty of times. What I normally do is grind the screw flat, center punch it, then drill it out. Then take a hard epoxy of some type and plug up the hole where you drilled out the old screws. After the epoxy has hardened drill a hole in the center a bit smaller than the screws and your back in business. A bit time consuming but works very well.
  11. Alright, I've done a bit more research and I've found that the np207 and np228/229 are not the greatest or most reliable TC out there. I've also read that I could run an np231 or 242 out of an early cherokee that has 21 splines??? Is this possible? What tranny would I need to make this happen that would work with the 3.4L.....if there is any.

DUKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: Butler played an amazing game though and kept with 'em the whole time. Even though Butler's defense was great, they couldn't shut down the big three of Duke (Scheyer, Singler, Smith). I'm just happy that Duke won!
  13. I hate to break the news, but............I'm 99% sure it has the GM 2.hate in it. Take a close look at the tailgate in the pictures. See the emblem in lower left hand corner? I'm pretty sure that's the "V6 2.8L" emblem. :( I'd still go take a gander at it though, if it don't run just find a 3.4 L from a camaro.....direct bolt in and a lot better of an engine. As long as it doesn't have much rust and a decent body, go for it.
  14. I would imagine that they would be either 3.55's or 4.10's. This is sounding more and more like a pain in the butt with the limited number of things that will work such as the driveshaft and the old and weak transfer cases. Think it would be a better idea to do the engine swap, spruce the truck up a bit and sell it for a profit? Only bought it for $350 with a straight, rust free body. Then look for a 87-92 so that I can fit a 4.0 in, and then do the 97+ stuff?
  15. I'm planning on swapping in a 3.4 for the 2.hate in an 86 MJ and want to make it a nice offroad truck. It's currently only 2 wheel drive and was wondering what transfer case would I'd have to get? The truck has an auto in it. Another question....I'd love to do the 97+ conversion as well (i.e. - interior, dash, header, fenders, etc.). But the more I thought about it I don't think I could make the interior 97+ because of the fact it's gonna be a 3.4 and not a 4.0. Won't the heater controls, vents, and gauges all be different or would it still be possible somehow?

    ....KU Lost

Wasn't surprised at all that they lost. Everyone had them winning it all, and now I'm dishing out a lot of "I told you so..." lines to people. :D No doubt they are a good team, but are no where close to being a national championship team. I'm going with Duke too, best well-balanced team in the tournament with experience and an amazing coach. Even though my bracket has gone to hell too....these are some amazing games!
  17. Here's the link.... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f125/16- ... es-991900/ The guy is telling me that he's getting alot of interest in them, even higher offers than what he was asking...might just pass on these after all.
  18. Want to put some Rubi wheels on the MJ and found some on jeepforum. The guy wants $500 for five wheels with cooper discoverer s/t on them with about half the tread left. With shipping it would be $695 to my front door. So half tread cooper discoverer s/t's on 5 Rubicon wheels.....I know it's not a screaming deal, but is it at least a decent deal???
  19. Definitely let me know when your going, I live about 15 minutes away from raush creek and should have my lift and tires on the MJ by then.
  20. :agree: I just got my truck out of my garage (it's too nice to drive in the winter) and couldn't believe how much i missed her. I was driving an XJ, but thats no where near as fun as an MJ!
  21. Yes.....and I love your avatar by the way! :rotf:
  22. That gauge is measured in Kilometers :rotfl2: whatever....I knew that... :D Sig worthy... :rotf:
  23. I'd be willing to come along with whenever you guys make a run. I'm about an hour north of Harrisburg and maybe another hour away from you guys. IMHO Harry's is very overrated...last time I was there, there was only one MJ and all the XJ's and ZJ's were completely stripped. I came home with one thing that I was looking(an overhead console) for and didn't even use it then anyway. I say someone should start a thread in the meet-and-greet forum and we could arrange a little PA pow wow. I suggest that it be for a time when it's a bit warmer outside and we don't have 2 feet of snow on the ground. :rotfl2:
  24. There's 8 bolts holding the bed down. There's 2 in the front of the bed, 2 through the x-member, and 2 through the back of the frame. Make sure you spray them down with lots of PB Blaster or some other penetrating oil because I'm sure they're rusted fast and they're a #$&@! to drill out and re-tap. Trust me I know from experience. :shake:
