  1. That's a left-handed compliment if I ever hard one. But I understand - not everyone likes chrome, or even purple bumpers. What matters is I like it. :D Stroker specs in a nutshell: Hesco 4.5L Stroker Crate Engine, .030 over bore Mopar 23.2# Injectors, Hesco Hi-Flo oil and water pumps K&N Intake, Mike Leach headers w. 2.5" dual exhausts 62 mm throttle body, Hesco adj. fuel regulator Rear wheel peak readings: Torque 296.0 @ 3000RPM HP 207.2 @ 3950PM measured on the Hesco dyno
  2. Clever, I'm impressed! Did you think that up all by yourself? I'm not quite show quality yet, but close. :chillin:
  3. Why thank you pare. Soon many important members on this forum (the classy ones, that is :D ) will be coming out of their chrome closets.
  4. In Canada. Fixed it. I have too much lightning in hand........... Oh, and piss off mate.

The stupid ordinary Smiley smiley :D just don't hack it anymore Wahoo. Use the drunkin' skål toast  smiley, it's more universally understood, especially on a Friday night in this crowd. Or just say "piss off mate" as I sometimes do, of course followed by
  6. That's great. It seems like every fool that runs into one of our family cars my insurance company ends up paying (- the deductable of course). Luckily no worries with the MJ yet. I think you'll be okay; like the others said, work with your agent. But I'll bet you're already doing just that. :D
  7. Another tasteless bastid. Piss off mate.
  8. Questions are: 1. Was the other party at fault? 2. Were they charged with a violation? 3. Was the accident investigated by the police? 4. Was an accident report filed? 5. Did the other party have laibility insurance? (Half the rednecks driving around here in AL do not). If the answer to any of the above is NO, you may be SOL.
  9. Sure you can use it Rick. Since I did the writeup though I've replaced the old design 5-blade unit with a 1997+ XJ 10-blade unit. It puts out a lot more air, is quieter, and is about 1/4" thinner too, so mo-better clearance.
  10. Got it on Ebay awhile back for $45 but I don't see any more now.......
  11. I thought it was "Beauty is in the eye of the Beerholder" That too. :beerhead:
  12. X2 on the OMEs. I have a 3" lift, so I used the OME ZJ rear shocks based on the travel I needed. I'm sure Motion can provide an OME part number for the MJ application w. no lift, but if not, shoot me a PM.
  13. Now now guys, remember what Mama always said: If ya don't have nothin nice to say, blah, blah, blah. AND: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Hey project88mj, if you like it, All is Good! A lot of the tasteless bastids on this forum don't like chrome either. :D
  14. That's the same thing I ended up doing when I got rid of the mechanical fan Rick. How's the clearance? Mine's working great. Did a writeup here: http://www.comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8342 Ignore the first part though..........
  15. That's the ABS brake setup.
  16. I'm not crazy about Toys either, but I love the older 40 series Land Cruisers, especially the diesels. Used to run them up and down the mountains in the Philippines and developed a healthy respect for them. Since then it's been all downhill........... Sorry for getting off-topic.
  17. Taz, that's similar to how I did my exhaust. I originally put on a Flowmaster and ran 2-1/2" pipes back over the axles too. But it was way too loud and droning for my tastes with the stroker and headers. So I pulled the Flowmaster and put in a similarly configured 1 in - two out Walker free-flow muffler and a small stainess cherry bomb type resonator in place of the cat. Sounds real good now, subtle but not loud, and made a big difference on the dyno too. I think it added a bit of back pressure that I didn't have before.
  18. Pretty sure the Toy Tacoma p/u's still have them Bob. At least they did in 2006. And if you retain the stock MJ combo valve under the master when you convert to rear disks, the rear brakes will still be biased more under a heavy load. At least mine is w. my Ford Explorer disk brakes. I hauled a crapload of patio bricks from Home Despot recently and it was noticible.
  19. At least it cooled it down for a little bit Taz. Been hot up here lately, 100+, humidity feels about the same.
  20. I put on a new set of MT packs too, and it gave me about 2-1/2" of lift. My load sensing valve was working well before the lift, and I wanted to keep it. So I made a new rod 2-1/2" longer than the old one and the valve is working as before. In your case, is the valve disconnected as in plumbing, or just the rod is discoed from the lever? I think it's a good thing to have if it works. The operating lever on the valve body should be just above parallel with the axle tube.

  22. Got a thing with numbers. Who got #4000? I was late and got 4001. But I'll sleep soundly too.
  23. So why don't you use it as your avatar instead of that blue thing w. the little tires? :D  Now you're avatar looks good mate.
  24. The chrome bug didn't work for me. Back to the old bug. Enjoy and get aggravated mates.
  25. Aye JT, that's georgeous. Best sedan in the world sitting on a Swedish fjord in the winter. Hope they move 'er out before spring. Attempt at a chrome bug below. Not much to work with..............
