  1. Hell of an offer Johnny. Thanks mate. But am looking at another one a bit closer to home in OK.
  2. Why don't you make it 100% fewer?
  3. Both engines are OBDI and compatible with each other. Both valve covers will also fit each engine as long as you use the correct correct CCV fittings.

  5. That equipment is very cheap. FOX and the other major networks carry most all of the major sports, so if you don't want to pay to subscribe to your satellite/cable provider (more expensive), this is the best option. I'd do it just to be at home to see the Rangers kick San Fran's butt in the Series.
  6. In some ways. Football, taxes, and lifestyle.
  7. No Jim, danbyrambler is correct - no worries. The East Bank of the Mississippi is an extremely reliable bank and is located in New Hope, MS. It's tied via underground cable to the esteemed First Confederate Bank in Tuscaloosa, AL, founded during the Civil War in 1864. The FCB will stand behind any check written on it's affiliate bank in New Hope with an equal reimbursement of cotton if equitable cash assets are not available. Unfortunately, the cash isn't normally available. :( Thanks Gawd for Mississippi, the only state that makes Alabama look good.
  8. That sucks. Are you close enough to pick up your local FOX broadcast station using a digital antenna? DON'T MISS ANOTHER MOMENT OF FOX PROGRAMMING! How to Get Your Local FOX Station Using an Antenna If you are a Cablevision subscriber, you have lost your local FOX station as of October 16 -- you can install an antenna to watch the over-the-air broadcast signal for free. Visit http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/consumerfacts/se ... erbox.html for questions about converting analog cable to digital.
  9. :agree: This link: http://jeep.off-road.com/trucks-4x4/tech/xj-control-arm-bushing-replacement-20477.html used to have pics to make a poor mans UCA axle bushing press, which I did as i was concerned about bending the bushing mounting "ears" in my 2WD. It cost about 5$ at a local surplus house for all the parts (threaded rod, nuts, a few appropriately sized washers, and a plumbing reducer fixture to press the old bushing into). It worked great; no beating like a moron, burning, or cutting. Simple press out, press in. 30 minutes per side.
  10. Autopals and Silver Stars suck compared to Hellas - had both, like night and day. 'Course, the Hella E-codes cost more unfortunately. :( Here's an old post from yesteryear how I did mine. I'm sure costs have gone up since then as everything else has................ "Here's how I did mine w. costs. Got the Hella 200mm H4 e-code glass lamp shells from Susquehanna Motor Sports ($34/ea). Then picked up from eBay four IPF 80w/60w H4 bulbs ($10 w. shipping, but you can used any wattage H4 bulb you want) and wired in a universal APC 4-lamp wiring harness w. relays (much cheaper than the 2-lamp, just cut off the extra two H4 sockets, Ebay, $9 w. shipping) which fit my MJ perfectly. Then put in a separate fuse block mounted near the PDC on the right fender well and fused the high and low beams separately w. 20A fuses."
  11. I was in Kwajalein from 90-95. The club there had two C150s and two C172s. The hourly rates were about double from what you posted. Again, I worked the counter for flight time until they closed the club in 93. We were only allowed to go the the outer islands on the Atoll, and only three had landing strips. Got a few multi-engine hours on the Dash-7s that ferried to workers to some of the outer islands. In Guam I flew out of the Andersen AFB club. There was an old Navion NAV-4-532 twin there that was an interesting ride. Subic in the Philippines had a big club at Cubi Point, with 12 total aircraft, all Cessna 150s and 172s. Had a lot of rides there in Marine F4 back seats too. Damn, that was fun. 'Course that's all gone now since we closed the bases. :fs1: I'd still be there if we had stayed, sucking San Miguels........
  12. Hang tough.
  13. Yep, that's the same way I got my private while stationed at Yorktown, VA Naval Weps Station. The Ft Eustis flying club was just across the street from where I lived and I worked there after hours and weekends w/o pay, only for flight time. Soloed after only six hours; my knees are still black and blue from shaking on the touch and goes. Got my private there and kept it active for 20+ more years through flight clubs in the Philippines, Korea, Guam, and the Marshall Islands. Island hopping in the Philippines, Marianas and Marshall Islands to WWII battle sites in C172's or similar was a great vacation for the wife and then the daughters and taught them a lot of history too. Never had any desire to go commercial or instructor, just used it as a tool to see what I wanted to see. Gave it up when I returned to CONUS about 12 years ago. It's probably impossible to do now w/o military flight clubs unless you have very deep pockets. Good times.............
  14. Me either. Didn't know they existed. :hmm:
  15. Lower the sway bar and it will probably hit the coils. The newer longer links work well w. a 3" lift - cheap too. :hijack: "73 Yamaha RD350 Cafe project" How's that coming along mnkyboy?
  16. Good job, if it was you who got rid of it. She didn't look like a Jeeper to me. But I suspect it was the other way around.
  17. Guess you're not carrying the under-bed spare Jim?
  18. Everyone sells them online; Jegs, Summit, etc. I got mine from a small local auto parts store, Dorman brand, 1/4" longer than the originals. You'll need 1/2" - 20 studs and can ID the part number here. http://www.dormanproducts.com/catalog/hardware2006/137-142_Sec10_Part2.pdf
  19. Maybe some kind soul on the forum with free access could run the VIN? :brows:
  20. Run the VIN, see if anything shows up.
  21. I'd be pissed off at that commercial if I were a Limey. :D
  22. Pick up a set of 1993+ XJ links. They are about 1-1/2" longer and worked well for me. :D
  23. Yes you can - had the same problem. Even though the O2 sensor harness uses thermocouple wire, you can splice a section in and it works fine. Splice with solder and wrap with heatshrink. Since then though I found an O2 sensor with a longer harness that fit okay. Believe it was from a ZJ.........
  24. Just about any GM pre-airbag wheel will work on our MJs sunce it's the same steering column. So you choices are many. I used one from an 87 Buick Turbo Regal. :D
  25. Well, that theory is believable since the brake booster is the biggest MJ vacuum hog. What I don't get is which exhaust bolt are you referring to?
