  1. Thanks. Which mounts are you using in the Wrangler Alexia?
  2. Speaking of motor mounts, has anyone tried the aftermarket Brown Dog rubber bushed mounts? I've read more than once that even their rubber mounts transmit more engine vibes than the OEMs. For that reason I'd never consider a poly-bushed mount.
  3. The company got discontinued, but their stuff appears on Ebay at times. .
  4. Mid 1984 - 1990 I believe.
  5. Hi Country tow hook / steering box brace. Shown w/o sway bar attached, uses steering gear box bolts and existing uniframe bolt holes.
  6. Yes, when they changed the adapter bolt in 1993. Don't know if it was Torx or not.
  7. The HO o-ring kit (p/n 4720363) fits vehicles mfg. after 7-16-92 actually. Before that you need to buy the three o-rings separately, as follows: 33002970 (.80") 33002971 (1.30") 33002972 (2.48")
  8. Good point.
  9. But that's double the work. I don't like to work harder than I have to. It's not real tough getting those bushings out. But you're in CT so I imagine the bushings are rusted in there pretty good. Do you have a garage to work in?
  10. So why Facebook?
  11. The bushings for the UCA axle end and the rear arm are the same. However, in 1997 the p/n for the UCA bushings changed, but they were still the same for front and rear. Then in 01, the p/n for the UCA axle bushing (52087852) and arm bushing (52087852) were different. The p/n for the arm itself changed too, but they look identical throughout the XJ years.
  12. When I replaced the UCAs on my 91 this summer, I used a pair of NOS OEM arms. For the axle bushings, I used Moog bushings. These were listed to fit all XJs 84-01. They fit my 91 just fine, but were a bear to install on the 2WD. To press out/in the axle bushings I used a homemade press made out of threaded rod, plumbing fixtures, etc. I found online. Got all the parts for it at a local salvage house for a couple of bucks. It worked fine, but was tight on the left side. I'll see if I can find the link for it. EDIT: Here's the link, but there are no pics as there were when I first saw it. http://jeep.off-road.com/trucks-4x4/tech/xj-control-arm-bushing-replacement-20477.html
  13. Damn. That looks familiar.
  14. I guess you know there are three positions stamped on the speedo gear housing; 26-31, 32-38 and 39-41 teeth. The housing must be rotated to the correct position corresponding to the number of teeth on the speedo gear to mesh. Me thinks you might have had it in the wrong position for the small gear you tried?
  15. Looks like the back of your seat was pressed against it.
  16. I can understand that.
  17. Check out this seller on Ebay HERE. He makes some nice custom switch panels.
  18. This has to be one fine MJ seeing it sports a Bosox sticker on the fuel filler door.
  19. Thanks for posting that link. I have to install a new switch with cruise soon; this writeup is much better than the one I had.
  20. It looks like wires coming out of it, si?
