  1. I had those on for awhile until I found a cowl hood. They didn't do squat for cooling, especially with the drip pans installed. Got them in the UK for cheap as Sam mentioned. A lot of the Export XJs and ZJs had these vents. Interestingly, the vents on the XJs were non-functional, purely ornamental. The ZJ vents were functional and had the drip pans.
  2. HERE'S ONE
  3. I really haven't looked lately Remi, but I know Reflexxion stopped making them about two years ago. You can find the fiberglass ones but I've heard they don't fit very well.

  5. Original post: So stock on my 1990 Comanche I have a np231 transfer case. I have a np242 on my 1989 jeep Cherokee donor. Now I posted this before and I don't have it in my threads anymore. How ever I see people with the np242 on here now and trying to figure out if I wanna switch them out. Looking for people's $0.02. You got the people's $0.02 crapstorm. Five pages worth. :ack: :shake:
  6. I like your avatar COFFMAN. Image Not Found
  7. Cosworth in the UK built these engines like no one else could.
  8. Fixed it for ya.
  9. It's for sale. Supposedly. Consider the source...... http://comancheclub....nche-motorhome/ http://www.naxja.org...=1092613&page=6
  10. No, this will make the blow-by into the air filter worse by increasing the pressure in the cover. Sometimes you can clear the hose and elbow metering valve by pushing a wire through, but not usually. The normal fix is to pull the cover, clean the gunk out of it including the vent towers, and replace the rear elbow and plastic hose.
  11. Joe, I had pretty good blow-by in my 91's original engine and did the 97+ CCV system upgrade and it cured it completely. Blow-by was common on the early HO engines, thus the factory fixed it by using larger diameter elbows and CCV hoses to make it breathe better. Here's the writeup on it: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f310/4-0l-ccv-elbow-removal-guide-tips-write-up-733669/
  12. Pull the rear CCV elbow on the valve cover and check if the metering hole on the bottom is clogged. Also do the same for the plastic hose from the CCV elbow to the intake manifold.
  13. Yes, OEM mounts can last 20+ years, and usually do. And new OEMs cost more than the Brown Dog mounts. There really is no "OEM equivalent"; they are all off-shore junk. You might get five years out of them. Motor mounts are one of the few parts that the aftermarket can not duplicate in longevity. BD comes the closest, but who needs the vibrations?
  14. Si, it was a joke. Not a very good one, but still a joke.
  15. Where are the other two? :hmm: They look good, nice clean burn. You could even get by just re-gapping those Champions.
  16. Can't say I'm happy to hear that, but I can say I won't be going with the BD rubber mounts. Thanks for posting this.
  17. Idiots............ 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
  18. First Laredo I've seen with a 2.5. The 4.0 was standard with the Laredo package. But nothing is written in stone with MJs.
  19. Okay, I just was curious. Cruiser, Is this a 4.2 oil pan? It looks deeper and is has reinforcing flutes on the sides. Mine is just smooth w/o flutes. Image Not Found
  20. The USAF does this by teaching the boots to use the ladies head and sit down.
  21. What has this to do with the topic?
  22. K, I can see that happening. I hope you didn't berate yourself too badly. Were it me, I would have been highly POed at myself.
  23. Starting an engine for the first time to me is one of the most important times to set the engine @ TDC compression stroke before installing the dizzy. Just curious Alexia, why didn't you?
  24. Welcome, great looking truck. It's a repaint, and looks like a good two-tone job. Where are you located? There's no snow on the ground so that's a good sign. Just hope it's not a bondo beauty.
