  1. Pete was referring to his new not-so-free 96 XJ.
  2. It's probably the standard 90A alt, so look at the donor p/n on the tag for a bolt-in upgrade. The 136A was in the V8 Grands and Dodge trucks and it fits well. Mine just bolted in, but some guys have had to do some minor grinding on the brackets so they will fit. 56005685 XJ,YJ,Z; 90 Amp. 556026811 1 X1; 117 Amp. 56005686 ZJ V8; 136 Amp
  3. Not Pete. The HO NipponDenso alts are regulated by the ECU and the Delco Renix alts are regulated internally, so different wiring. Also the mounting points are different.
  4. When I first read your title and figured you were changing your wheels out. But this is a much better subject. Was that her first fish? Wish we had some kind of salmon runs down here. The only thing we have is humongous bass. :(
  5. For some reason the US English Dictionary disappeared on my Firefox ver. 21. Reinstalled, now Spellcheck is working again. :hmm:
  6. Another bit: Most all the Passport/Rodeo D44s had the Trac-Lok diff. This diff will directly swap into any other D44. I used one in my MJ D44 4.10-geared axle using thick gears.
  7. Spell checker is not working again for me. :hmm:
  8. Little dumbazz things amuse little dumbazz minds.
  9. Buick Turbo Regal wheel on mine.
  10. This thread will answer your questions. Check your impeller fins. http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f12/waterpump-tutorial-893428/
  11. The pumps definitely changed in 1987. From the parts manual: 1981-1986 w. 2.5, J8134321, Export 1987-1990 w. 2.5, 83502957, Export (w/o Serpentine Belt Drive) 1987-1990 w. 2.5, 83502938, Export (with Serpentine Belt Drive) I suspect the impeller vanes are different, the pump is pushing rather than pulling. Or it's rotational. I don't remember when these engines switched the pump rotation. Image Not Found Image Not Found

  13. Me too. Although that is a georgeous looking engine compartment HKB3.
  14. No, 89-95 AX15 MJ/XJ models only.
  15. I had the pleasure of driving the Hesco "delivery truck" around the back streets of Birmingham a few years back. Had a 4.9L stroker with an Eaton supercharger, 2WD w. a 727 A/T and D44 rear end. A freaking beast. Image Not Found
  16. If you mean the transmission mount, yes, same-o mount for both transmissions.
  17. These were very bright in the MJ fixtures, much brighter than the incandecents. But check the length to make sure they are correct for your application.
  18. Sounds like you got the 4410 series rigid loop festoon lamp. I used the 578 LED bulb - 9 LED festoon lamp. http://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/festoon-series-bulbs/filter/Base,4410,1,5033:
  19. They come in four lengths; 1-1/4", 1-3/8", 1-1/2" and 1-3/4". You have to measure your existing bulb and order the same length.
  20. Well, at least the newer Wranglers have a factory roll cage now. Not perfect, but much better than they used to be.
  21. Only for automatics. There are no coolant lines on a manual transmission.

  23. You mean quarantine? Like they do with diseased animals?
  24. I think GM might be their major client due to the scarcity of GM vehicles I could see in their simulations. So they are "suggesting" that Chrysler and Ford vehicles are accident prone. Advertising 101.
