  1. The best way to tell what engine block you have is by the code stamped on the block below the spark plug holes. Example: 401MX12 Decoded: * 4 = Year (1994) * 01 = Month (January) * MX = Engine Type/Fuel System/Compression Ratio (MX is a 243 CID, multi-port fuel injection system with 8.8:1 ratio * 12 = Day of month of engine build Casting numbers are also on the 4.0 blocks as follows: Year Casting No 1987-90 53005535 1991-95 53008405 1996-97 53020569 1998-98 53010341 1999-04 53010449
  2. Thanks Jeff - good info. I don't have a plug in mine either.
  3. P/n 4373296. They changed in 1990. http://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Lighting-Jeep-Lighting-Accessories/Door-Dome-Light-Switch.aspx?t_c=14&t_s=67&t_pt=5781&t_pn=CRO4373296
  4. The below is the "hole" the OP is referring to. I have no idea what it's for unless it's there for assembly purposes, but it shouldn't be plugged. Image Not Found
  5. So you put your throne in storage?
  6. Try again. Works fine. :hmm: http://jeepsticker.com/
  7. Nope. It isn't fine at all. Can't be.............

  10. Yep, I could use one of those especially on Comanche Club. Got a spare one?
  11. Next time when in doubt try a magnet.
  12. The OP I think is referring to the radiator cross member piece under the bumper. It is an available replacement part and is not plastic. Part #1 in the diagram below:
  13. Yes, it is a bit confusing the first time you do the new smaller Bosch fuel pump change. It's the same basic adaptation procedure for the HO MJ senders too. Thanks for taking the time to snap some pics; I'm sure this will help others.
  14. Okay.
  15. When you get it to 4-1/2" you will then most likely need adjustable LCAs to correct your caster and an adjustable track bar to re-center the front axle. The pinion angle might need correction with wedges too.

You're right Ben. These would be more suitable for Jim in that sandy terrain. They will also stay put while walking through the cow piles.

  19. In a lot of the crappy places I was at when younger you couldn't afford to be a beer snob. There were only two beers, hot and cold. So I'm not particular anymore. If I had to pick a favorite it would be Tiger Beer, brewed in Singapore. Anyone ever try it?Yes...it tastes horrible. Most people compare it to formaldehyde. Yes, but you have to eat rancid raw fish with it to taste right. It's a acquired taste. You must like Bud Lime too, like Cruiser.

  21. I lived there about five years in the 90s, near the NAVCOMSTA in Dededo, during which time Typhoon Paka came through and about leveled the island. We loved our time there and hit all the barrio fiestas every year. Great people, good times. And yeah, post up some pics of what you have up front so we can see.
  22. Are you a Guam local, or are you stationed there?
  23. The fuel pump and tail lamps ground behind the left tail lamp. Did you disconnect it?
