  1. Check for fault codes. http://comancheclub.com/topic/28111-reading-obdi-91-and-92-mj-fault-codes/
  2. I hate that. To me, it's interchangeable with using words like "Uh", or "Duh", to start a sentence. Like "So, (or Uh, or Duh,) do you want me to kick your azz?" I don't know if it's proper English or not, but it sounds stupid.
  3. I did the rear disks first in 07 using a Teraflex kit, which is basically a Ford Explorer conversion. The load sensing valve went unchanged, and it was a very good braking improvement. The next year I did the 96 XJ dual diaphragm install, and it got way better, perhaps even more of an improvement than the disks after I dialed the load sensing valve in using an adjustable rod. So if you're going to do one or the other, do the booster/master. The rear disks are gravy, and still a lot better than the drums.
  4. Thanks Gary. Yep, those wheels will be going on the JK where they belong.
  5. Damn near slim and none. :rotfl2: I actually saw a turkey turd tan Celebrity in the taxi line; and thought no, it can't be. But it was. It still had the aftermarket dual chrome outlet muffler I put on it years before.
  6. In that case it was justified.
  7. ....... that really tick me off. In no particular order: 1. You know what I mean? 2. At the end of the day ... 3. It is what it is. 4. I'm just sayin ... 5. Lol. 6. Literally! 7. Awesome! 8. Let me be clear. (Obama's fav) 9. Seriously? 10. Dude! or Dudette! Feel free to add your own.
  8. True Jim. That's why they call them "sport" bars. Purely for cosmetics.
  9. Did you ever run a Carfax or similar on your truck? It would be interesting to see where it originally came from and how long it's been on Guam. I sold a Chevy Celebrity I had to a local when I left there to move to the Marshall Islands in the early 90s. A few years later I was on my way to Japan via Continental Air and took an overnight on Guam. The taxi that I used from the airport to the hotel turned out to be the same Celebrity I had sold years before. Found out it had been sold several times since I left and was still chugging around earning $$ as a taxi.
  10. Thanks for the pic teamsmith. Now that I see them on an MJ, I agree with you.
  11. I like it, but don't agree it's an appearance improvement over the stock unit. But it's definitely not a degradation as most are, and if I were going for an aftermarket bumper, this is the best I've seen. Would definitely be cool chromed.
  12. Picked up a set of five take-off 2014 JK Sahara wheels and tires with about 10 miles on them. I got them to eventually replace the wheels/tires on Mama's JK; she's run up to almost 50K already. But the more I look at them, the more I'm digging them for my MJ. I'm pretty sure there will be no fitment problems. The Michelin 31" tires I have on now are 30.8" in diameter; the new 18" JK Bridgestone tires are 32.1" diameter. A bit over 1/2" taller all around, so no problems there. Of course I'll need a set of SpiderTrax adapters to convert to the 5x5" bolt pattern, and with the ~ 2-1/2"-3" lift I have I see no clearance problems. What do you guys think? I'm diggin' this wheel...........

Any rubbing anywhere under all conditions?
  14. Same seal with or w/o disconnect.
  15. ^^ This. It's all about the $$.
  16. Check the codes before running wild. They are there to be utilized, and while not 100%, they are helpful at times.
  17. BTW, how come your neighbor? hangs his tools outside on the wall? :hmm:
  18. Image Not Found Paste the "Direct" link from Photobucket into the CC "Image" button drop-down text box.

When you posted pics of those wheels I didn't like them at all. Now that I see them on the truck nothing has changed. But the opinion of others means nothing; the only thing that matters is what YOU like. I happen to like lots of chrome, and could care less what everyone else thinks. You did the right thing going your own way and I respect that.
  22. ^^^^ Good point. When I bought my truck in 02, The axle was way forward. I attributed it to worn saggy springs. :dunno: One of the first things I did was add new GS MT leaf springs. The axle centered right up.
