  1. i really like those half doors
  2. its a sunpro tach but it was one of those open box jobs so i got a few bucks off, just didnt get the instructions.
  3. i found one of a flowmaster 40 http://www.dropshots.com/day.php?userid ... ime=182400
  4. ok this is the coolest ever, thanks so much, now my Firefox is totally pimped, i have one thing that when you click i picture it just pops up on the screen, so you just need to click to make it go away instead of hitting back. And i have Fasterfox which greatly speeds up the loading of pages. and my cool mac like skin. i heart Firefox.
  5. I got a tach from the auotparts store yesterday, and was wondering where the pickup wire goes. I'm a chevy guy so this stuff is a little differnt for me, I'm used to there being a lead right on the distributor that you just plug into. How do the factory ones work? Will i need to tap into the factory harness or do I need to run into the wires that come off the distributor? I appreciate any help, this MJ is starting to turn into a pretty nice truck. I plan to start a project page as soon as i get up enough parts to actually show some improvements.
  6. the gauges sounds like the fuse since in the older trucks everything but the speedo is electric, my fuse was old and nasty and once i put a new one in my gauge problems went away. i was also wondering, since its along the same lines. what oil does the ba-10 use. mine has 200k on it, and i think it could use a change of fluids. is it just gear oil like a 75w or motor oil like the ax-15s use.
  7. mine does the same thing b.c the battery cable is old and worn out and barly makes contact i have a new one in the glove box but i just keep hitting it with a mag light every time it dosnt work.
  8. are all the other gauges fine, i know mine was being funky once b.c the gauge fuse was a little dirty, i replaced it and it helped. but my volt and temp gauges were also reading off.
  9. i wish i could do my drive way, but i don't even want to know how much it would cost to pave 1/5mile of road, plus my "parking area" is about twice the size of your driveway. i havent even wanted to see a number that big heh.
  10. well of course this kentucky boy says tars :). i love the red tint of my neck, just don't tell the white folks its cause I'm one of those dern red skins haha.
  11. thats a bummer to hear, but that also means that my olympic is a little more rare :)
  12. i found this awhile back http://performance.drivewire.com/suspen ... tkits.html
  13. por-15 is awesome. BTW, best question ever.
  14. The Fuse block in my comanche died from a leaky Cltuch master cyl. the fluid ran down the firewall and pretty much disolved the box and fuses. I'm wondering is there any differance between the boxes in Xjs and Mjs. I'm pretty good with wiring and my dad is an A&P so if i can't get it, ive always got him to help out. Would it be better/ easier to pull the entire harness or just cut the wires and resolider all the connections. There are a ton of Xjs in u pull yards around here but only 1 Mj, and its a 4cly 2wd. Ive spent probably 3 weeks trying to find parts to restore my comanche, i has front end damge, an almost dead ba-10, and the lack of nessisary electrical functions. And once i find an ax-15, ill do a photo docutmentry from ragged to slightly less than toast. :). Thanks in advance.

    Going to Iraq

be safe, bro. ive got alot of friends over there, you guys take care of each other, and come back quick. btw, where are you in kentucky, I'm in south jefferson county just north of brooks.
  17. I'm glad i read this, post. i was going to go out and buy the front and rear axles off a xj today. they are off a 4cly 5spd, which I'm told are 4.10s which would be perfect for the 33s i want to put on. i guess i will just wait to upgrade gears when i do the srping over. btw i can get axles way cheap here. a local junk yard only wants $60 for a rear axle complete no matter the truck or car. oh and transmissions are 43, no matter the truck. i love it.
  18. i just have a run of the mill bench seat cover over mine, the middle looks a little funny where the indent is, but it works fine for me.
  19. its already hard to not spend money on it, i made the misstake and ordered some catalogs and now i can't stop thinking of all the stuff i want to do. but ive been a camaro nut since i was about 5 so its still getting all the cash for now. at least i know i will never have spending money :). the only thing wrong with it now is my wipers stoped working last night, they just up and quit no working poorly just kinda stoped, i dunno whats up with em. this area isnt really salty and its dry more than wet so rust isnt a real big problem around here, hell my camaro has solid floors with the factory undercoat and paint still on the inside and its quite old. the control arms are barely surface rusted, can't say as much for the jeep tho, but the only real rust i found is that gawdy bumper that hit something some time and the bolts in the track bar were pretty stuck on, i had to replace it b/c the ball fell out of the bar i dunno how it was like that when i bought it. overall i love the thing, its fun to drive has the best heater in the world and it only cost me $850, with all 197,000 break in miles completed.
  20. i had a similar thing hapen with my old malibu. i just bent up some old sheet metal from a shelfing unit i "took" apart. rustolem-ed the floor and sheet metal and rivited it in place worked real well wasnt pretty but redneck engineering at its best.
  21. For the time being it will stay pretty much stock, you can barely see it but in the third pic you can see the back of my 79 Camaro Z28. I blew the motor in it bought another car, and that broke, so i took my "motor fund" and bought the jeep; since i knew it would last forever, as i have a friend with a 90 cherokee with 270,000miles. When the Camaro is alive once more. I will convert it to 4wd and maybe a small lift 3 or 4 inch and some body armor just b/c I think that stuff looks cool. :-D Nothing too extreme as I think one money pit, camaro, is more than enough. :) It has the olympic rings above the Comanche emblem you can barely see it in the pics, but I didnt realize there was an olympic edition
  22. hello all i just bought my first jeep, ive liked them a long time had a bunch of friends with Cjs and Xjs so i bought me a Mj. anywho my jeep seems to be lifted some but since ive only seen 1 around town i really have nothing to compare it too. it has 30x9.5x15s on it and that is the only real change i can see, since I'm not too used to these trucks..thanks for the help yall. i only have a few pics of it... right now.
