Seeing Slayer at Copp's Collesium in Hamilton
Druville replied to Kenosha Warrior's topic in The Pub
i might drive up to indy to see them. i really wanted to see them on the unholy alliance tour SLAYER, lamb of god, mastadon, thine eyes bleed dosnt get better than that heh. -
most of the options you've posted are common as apple pie. i voted something crazy just b.c thats the way i am. when i fix all the body damage on mine, I'm going to take my love of rat rods to my truck. flat black with orange/yellow/red flames and red wheels. i did it to my old chevette and got a ton of looks from it, i think it would be awesome on a lifted truck. so you can do anything but that, that is also crazy haha.

My local car club did their annual Toys for tots car cruise and in the background you can see my comanche, so yey comanche on the news.

the exact reason i hate alcohol.

In this case, he doesn't need a hammer 'cause the XJ rear seat is already too small. He needs a stretcher. now your thinking inside the box. what if he used 2 rear benches and a big hammer. something i just thought of, use a bucket seat with the rear bench next to it. that would be close. and that way you would have bucket comfort with bench extra people capacity.

Squishy brake pedal
Druville replied to Kenosha Warrior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
push it down fast then come half way up and back down, if its not firm. its the master cyl. my vw did the same thing if i pushed it quick i had all the brakes i needed, until i was at a stop light and i pushed it in a second time real quick, thats when it fell to the floor and i had nothing. that was a butt pucker moment, heh. replaced it and it worked perfect. -
ive toyed around with doing a v8 when my engine craps out on me, I'm a chevy guy up and down. parts are way cheap and easy to come by, and if you don't buy new and rebuild one yourself you can get about 350hp crank for 1000-1500. just ask my last motor for my camaro. arnt there like 50million small block chevys out in the world or something like that. when in doubt follow the masses.

i feel ya, ive got finals in a 2 weeks, plus two projects, my camaro and my jeep. also i have my band to pratice with, my video game ive been working on a year or so now. and I'm having another project corvette stingray to arrive tomorrow, I'm working on that for a buddy of mine. all this with a weak 20hr a week 10.50 an hour job. but thats probably why my projects take me years to make a bit of progress on. and the girlfriend but i got lucky and said all i wants is food and sex, and loe and behold, thats what i got. this is what you get when your a rock star, even if its in your own head.

i love 2dr xjs second only to the shortbed mj. btw i had the same shifter on my camaro before i grenaded the auto and swapped in a manual. the ratchet is fun as hell to mess with. just push that sucker down and back a few times. the sequential shifting is very fun.

mine did the same thing with a broken bulb in the front when i was in an accident, i remember the flashers not working when i tryed to put them on right after i was hit, even tho the turn signals still worked. so i would say a ground problem or maybe as simple as a bulb being funky.

internet terrorists man, they are messing with our minds man. coming and going, saying little, it will get to you man. its crazy man. stoner voice>

mine does the same thing. the heat works so well tho, that i usually only leave it on for a few mins. so i havent really seen a need to fix it.

the tach wire goes to the negative lead on the coil. there are two plugs into the coil on my jeep, one with three wires and one with a single wire. i tapped into the plug with one, thin yellow wire. works like a charm wired it up less than a week ago and seems to be perfect.

Brake warning light.
Druville replied to Kenosha Warrior's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
that parking light is funky. mine is on when the parking brake is off and is off when its on. i think its just a poorly wired system. -
my bench sags a bit but not that bad. ive never really had a problem being 6'4. my head is about an inch from the roof. so i don't think its sagging 4 inches. we fixed the bench in our 68 chevy pickup with some foam so it looks really tall until you sit in it, then its normal height. its quick and easy....the redneck way. hah

it would be cool if that wernt my favorite car of all time. why couldnt he do that to come lame mustang or something much less beautiful. its a shame that the greatest car of all time has been chopped up so heavy.
-
heh i almost had the same thing happen on my camaro, made me kinda glad the motor died before my legs did, when i pulled the trans the flywheel bolts had loosened to barely past hand tight.
-
heh i would have made a go cart out of it, ive got an old tiller laying in the barn that i may do that with some day. nice job tho with the sleeper generator.

like i said the leds arent in yet since ive had so much school work and 3 project cars to get ready for winter. but as soon as i have a free weekend the leds will be in there. btw sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

ive been thinking of trying that, every time i take off my tailgate it seems i bend one of the metal bars then i have to spend a bit flattening them out. a cable would be really nice, if there were an easy tool less way to take them off.

ive been playing for a little while, about 8 years. tho everytime i move my gear, it fills the back of the truck. Music is one of the biggest reasons i bought my comanche, so i would have room for all the bands gear. i have a custom home-built Yamaha; maple body/neck , with a clear lexan pickgaurd and soon to be backlit with 50 super bright LEDs, powered by a EMG 81 active. its my guitar of +10 blinding metal. hah, I'm an uber nerd too BTW. oh and it has a really cool flamed set bridge and black tuners that are angled, just so it would stand out from every guitar ive ever seen.

nicely done, i was thinking something similar to that would work very well.

Help! Cuts off while driving!
Druville replied to renegade2345's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
may be a vacu leak. i know ive seen cars run real rough with the brakes and it was vacuum related. just an idea tho, I'm not very familiar with these trucks yet.
