  1. Don , thanks for fixing the link. Does Scott have a build thread on here? I am always impressed with long travel/low lift height builds, sort of an expedition-prerunner.
  2. PM' d info to you , THX
  3. Not sure what happened to the link?
  4. Did'nt happen to see any mention of this so I thought I'd post up in case anyone had'nt seen the article in Offroad mag or online : http://www.fourwheeler.com/features/1309-1987-jeep-comanche-chief/ Are they a member here?
  5. Thanks for the pics, big help. Pm sent to you.
  6. Cool , Thanks .
  7. Looking for a idler pulley bracket for an 87 MJ , w/non-AC equiped 4.0L, AW4. THX
  8. Devin , good to talk/meet over the phone. Looking forward to doing business in the future  .
  9. There should be a sticky for MJ paint code's w/color chips by model year.
  10. EBC is a British company, EnglishBrakeCompany. Not sure if they have US manufacturing. And yes, the change was in '90. What about Centric rotors?
  11. Making MJ specific products will definitely get your company noticed, I would'nt hesitate to spread the word.
  12. I'm located in Central Oregon.
  13. Looking for black interior part's if anyone come's across anything in the yards, let me know. Thanks , -d.
  14. If the 88743 is what I remember, it sure looked like a Pacesetter, who also had a Renix header.
  15. All right, will do, thanks for your time guys.
  16. The main concern was the front frame rails and inner fenders, which I realize are welded. My initial question was basically how bad can damage be before there is just no hope. I don't have a frame machine and would'nt attempt a complicated repair like this myself. Any personal experience's, including autobody pro's, would be good to hear. I did'nt think about cutting and welding a new front section on. In some way's that sound's cheaper.
  17. Wondering what's the worst frontend damage that anyone has seen repaired, cab forward. Specifically, front frame rail's, inner fender's, anything that can't be unbolted and replaced. -THX
  18. Nice work, great thread. Thanks for posting this up. These project's are definitely on my to do list. Your engine bay is lookin' pretty good .... but I suppose you hear that all the time, haha.
  19. Absalutely. I would love to do the same. Mabye I could crew for you, 8) . There's a 3700 MJ for sale now complete w/trailing arms, coilover's, etc. Well, looking forward to seeing more progress.
  20. Nice build. I'm headed in the same direction, not nearly as much progress though, but many of the same ideas. My MJ was also my first Jeep and my DD. Being a 2wd as well, I had planned to convert to 4wd, then along came desert racing and prerunner's and I knew what I must do :D .
  21. I would use the '87-'89 unit bearings, etc. Then you get tapered roller bearing instead of the ball bearings used on the later years. Also, with the 4wd knuckle setup, I think you increase your options as far as rotor upgrades.
  22. Awsome, thanks for posting these up  , excellent idea. We really need to save these, or parts of these, as much as possible. How were the interiors?
  23. But then again ... with additional mod's you open yourself up for more gains. Think of it as a package deal. Just the head swap, not so much. Add to HO, 91-95, heads better flow the right header and 99+ intake, CAI, the right injectors and TB, good ingnition and free-flowing exhuast, and more it start's to add up. Look at your motor as a big air pump. The better it breath's, the happier it is. Then you can start getting into gearing, and it continues haha ... it just depends how bad you want it.
