  1. Yeah. Remember you still need new oil pressure and temp sensors. Roger that, thanks.
  2. Found a full gauge cluster in a '87 4L 5sp XJ, would it swap into an '87 4L AW4 MJ?
  3. Looks good  . Is this your own design?, looking forward to more.
  4. Which throttle body, fuel rail, and injectors are you using? Did you gasket match the intake to the head? An APN header would be a good, inexpensive replacement for the oem ... then there's the Magnaflow highflow cat/muffler/2.5" tubing, etc. on and on haha.
  5. I recently heard of some 4" lift springs for a Ranger that measured 57", I don't know the spec's though.
  6. So you can buy more tools, haha. Could the missing pcv hose cause a problem w/the vacume?
  7. That's an awsome truck! They should have included more of the history and pics. I hope it goes to a good home.
  8. Nice score ! I think you need a 1310 to 1330 adaptor or a combo u-joint? Spicer would be a good source.
  9. Group buy anybody? ;)
  10. Happy 4th ! I think there was a 13g or 13.5g tank, pretty sure that's what I have in my '87.
  11. Which one's did you install?
  12. Comanche's just want to go fast, haha. Glad to see your over here at CC, sound's like your team is putting on a good campaign.
  13. Be sure to check all of your grounds,so you know that your charging as efficiently as possible. Can make a big difference.Check cables, consider replacing.Google kelly's work's in progress, I'll try to find the link.
  14. Those must be the one's made out of unobtanium.
  15. Ya, I hear that. I don't think I'll go over 33's.
  16. Thanks for the input guys. So, what brand of unit bearing has the best reputation? That's sad to hear that Timken might be going downhill.
  17. Wanted to get some opinions on the strength of D30 unit bearings vs. locking hubs.I have heard they, unit bearings, can take quite a bit of abuse, some say more than aftermarket hubs.On the other hand,it would seem that a floating hub,if thats the correct term, would'nt rely on the stub shaft to hold things together. So , any recomendations? I want to stay 5x4.5 for now and I'm not to worried about minor change's in track width.I'm interested in hearing any thoughts so jump right in, thanks.
  18. Good job man, the stripes/decals are lame.Looks much better now.Have you tried a heat gun?
  19. I would agree with the red oxide primer for red paint. There are actually different shades of the orange/brown primer for blocking, finding high and low spots.X2 on the sanding boards for finish sanding, long strokes. You could use gray or even black for your first coat of primer to see how deep your sanding,as said before, then layer on the red/brown primer.Take your time and have fun.
  20. I've got the constant indicator lights, where is the front chassis ground? I replaced the block to firewall ground.
  21. jpnjim , that look's great. What year/model is your cluster from ?
  22. Here is some info that might be helpful: http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/sho ... hp?t=92236 and a flow calculator that's in that link: http://www.witchhunter.com/injectorcalc1.php4 and another source: http://www.fuelinjector.citymaker.com/contact.html although, I think Precision Injectors has better prices.
  23. I was thinking about the LT1 injectors as well due to the fact they are a 6 orifice injector, but this impedence issue cocerns me.
  24. Another vote for lift shackles. They will improve your spring travell to. A 2" XJ lift shackle will give an MJ 1" of lift.
  25. I'm pretty sure the port's are different.Take the gasket from the 89' and see how it lines up with the 93' manifold.
