  1. Coil or ignition control module. I had that problem with mine and it was the coil
  2. Sounds like the starter isn't disengaging when the key is let go and/or the coil is grounded out and there is no spark. Being a 73 there isn't much too it so it will be easy as hell to find an electronical problem compared to MJs
  3. Got the Bosch 3, 4hole injectors in mine, I get 18 mpg in town with my 4.0 5speed with 3.07s
  4. What about the steering box? Or any other steering parts?
  5. I don't need a different rear axle. I'd like to keep the 3.07s because of the amount of highway driving I do and I need the gas mileage.
  6. I agree. D44s are more expensive to fix too. I'm running a d35 in my dd and I've never had an issue.
  7. I'm just using my truck for a dd, camping, work and occasional playing in the mud
  8. Not sure if its a 44 or 35
  9. What about swapping the drive train and dash into the 86 I've stripped down? I know I'd have to figure out the motor mounts and some of the electrical
  10. I've got a tail light harness out of an 86 mj
  11. I got have a friend that has a 95 v8 zj with 4 wheel disc brakes. What parts can I use on my 88 mj other than the MC and brake booster?
  12. I'd say porno red only because I have all the parts that I need to get rid of lol
  13. I personally don't like BFGs because everyone I've ever had has unraveled on me
  14. If you don't use stock rims they will rub the fender with no lift. If you use factory wheels the largest you can go is 31x10.5 but you may rub the LCA slightly
  15. I woke up this morning and on my work bench was my sending unit all fixed with a 2nd wire off the resistor all soldered together. Thanks to my dad :)
  16. Get a laser thermometer and make sure your gauge is accurate aswell
  17. Check your fuses. Something somewhere is open. Everything is resistance based and youre gauges are all reading zero resistance. Check all the plugs under the dash.
  18. I don't know I there is one or not. I'll have to look. It wasn't that hard. It took a couple hours and some finesse.

Looking for a d30 front axle with 3.07 gears for my 4x4 conversion on my 88 mj. I'm in the Birmingham area.

  21. I have that problem from time to time if I push on the door fairly hard it helps
  22. Today was a busy day for the Beast. Figured out what was wrong with the fuel gauge, changed the oil in the rear diff, and swapped my non-opening corner windows in the door for the opening vent windows out of my parts truck. Looks like I'm breaking out the soldering iron diff looks good but its only got 117xxx The "big project for today, wasn't as bad as i anticipated Old Windows New Windows
  23. I've got a d30 front and d35 rear that are 4.10s that I'll let go for the right price
