I have an 88 swb, 4.0 5speed, 2wd and currently have 235/75r15s and 3.07 gears. I'm planning on converting to 4x4 and wondering what gears I should use. I don't plan on going any bigger than 31x10.5s and I don't want to lose my 17.5 city mpg. Its my DD and I do both city and highway driving and plan on doing some light offroading. I want to pull a bass boat.

I think the roll bar makes the truck. I can't wait to convert it to 4x4. I think I'm going to get MT springs from hells creek. But i also want to give the truck about 2-3 inches of lift -
How to get better fuel milage?

I also have Bosch platinum +4s in my truck truck. "Kept fouling out the coppers because of how bad I was burning oil) Well, in all seriousness, and on a slightly related note, some people actually shut their engine off while they're at a red light, to save gas. Once, some lady in front of me did this... when the light turned green, her car wouldn't start up again. It was a lot of fun for the dozen cars behind her. At least she was being enviornmentally conscious  . -

Bosch 4 hole injectors. I have an 88 4.0 5 speed 2wd. I get 16.5-17 in town and 20-23 on the interstate @75mph -
ICM under the coil. First check your connections. Thats what it was in my 88 4.0

took a day trip to jasper Georgia from Birmingham to pick up some interior pieces yesterday . 2 pairs of bucket seats one pair of Comanche seats one pair of Cherokee seats a Cherokee center console and a Comanche headliner. Cherokee seats and console Comanche seats All taken apart to swap the brackets and clean them up cleaning the carpet before the new seats go in Before After Now the interior looks so much better and is a lot more comfortable. The only issue i have is the position of the steering wheel is annoying since i don't have a tilt column. That will be changed eventually though. -

Does anyone know what this fork is supposed to look like. The one I see online that is supposed to be for my truck looks nothing like what I have. Anyone have a part number or anything that might help me find the right fork for this thing? -

The Beast and i had a proud moment over the weekend. I went to a local car show and as i pulled in there was a guy and a couple of his friends that came running across the parking lot and asked if they could take pictures of my Comanche because they had never seen one before. Made me feel pretty good! -

Okay so I bought a new clutch kit and there was a clear difference in the clutch and pressure plate. I got everything all swapped over and now the pedal doesn't feel like a brick but now I have like no back pressure and the clutch still doesn't disengage -
I have never liked plastic bedliners because when stuff gets underneath them and plugs the drains water gets trapped under them. That's why the promote rust if you don't have some sort of cover. I put a roll-in in my 88 swb. One gallon of it from Walmart gave me two nice thick coats and I couldnt be happier
