Nope no lights. I trash em and go with the Autozone light swap. Never been a fan of the OEM lights. No blue seat belts.....just gray.

Pic will take a while.... They're in storage. I don't save them unless they're in good shape with less than 3 frayed threads. I have a few with no fraying. In all seriousness, it'll look just like yours.... Only not frayed.

I've got several. To Canada huh? I imagine I could send that $30 shipped....... PM if interested.

When I first saw the title of this thread, I thought it was you, Troy. :) LOL....... Shup. :D

I've harvested a few beds. Two average guys can lift one off with little difficulty. So.... I'm thinking 250-300 lbs or so.

I have a pair of short black arm rests. PM sent.

Indeed..... It's incredibly selfish to hoarde MJ's..... Folks with 7 of them should be ashamed..... :D

Looking For Street Comanche Bumper Or Scca
yellaheep replied to Burntoast914's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Wonder why the Archers want to hold onto the molds anyhow.....They have moved on to bigger things. Sure wish they'd turn them loose and let a guy make them for club members. Lord knows I'd buy two air dams and would love to have a set of front and rear springs. -
Identify This Decal Scheme
yellaheep replied to Spectormj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Since we're talking about MJ package features...... To this day, I've not seen or found an '87-'92 with power windows/locks/seats. Am I correct in understanding that the '86 XLS was the only package where these power features were available? I've seen a few of those..... -
Identify This Decal Scheme

That's nothing Jeep offered from the factory. Aftermarket....... gawd-awful aftermarket. -
Yep. '92 is the last year the MJ was produced. Production numbers for all MJ's built in '92 are argueable for accuracy but all show to be a total only in the 900's. Yep, 900-something MJ's built in '92. Unfortunately, there were no records kept (or available anyway) on how many Eliminators were made. Now, rare doesn't mean super valuable. Unfortunately, a '92 Eliminator isn't going to be as sought after as a 60's muscle car nor as valueable, but within this club, what you have is, to many of us, pretty much the "holy grail" of Comanche's. Post up your VIN and build date (found on the white sticker on the lower part of the driver's door sill, below the latch mechanism). Folks here will be able to tell you all the stuff your Eliminator will have been born with. Post pics too. We love Eliminators....... :D

Cowl Induction Hood
yellaheep replied to Minuit's topic in Craigslist/Marketplace/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Lol..... Cowl hood thread and we're talking about my '46 Olds...... :laughin: Nope, still not fixed, not running. Brakes are gone, radiator is corroded, engine broke a lifter or a valve. Just sitting until I can get myself off this MJ addiction. Needs lots of attention.......and money. Nope, there isn't an MJ that exists that I'd trade the Olds for. It was my Granddad's and he left it to me when he passed. -
Cowl Induction Hood
yellaheep replied to Minuit's topic in Craigslist/Marketplace/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Those are the "Dominator" hood......... absolute crap. I had one....... it was 3/4" too short and 1/2" too narrow. Fit was terrible. The hood arc was way off in relation to the tops of the fenders. Front corners were high, not enough arc across to keep it level with the header panel in any adjustment combination. -
Shipping on things that size is stupid-expensive. It's not the weight itself (those fenders weigh about 10 lbs each, not heavy at all) it's the shipping company and their "dimensional weight".......as in how much space on their trucks it takes up. The fenders I had snatched up for me cost $100 at the yard. Shipping was over $350...... yes, $350. Boxed and sent UPS Commercial Freight. If I were to do that again, I'd have to find a trucker making the haul from there to here. Probably only have to hand him a benjamin for doing it. Or look into Greyhound - not ideal as the fenders could end up getting moved to/from several busses along the route. Hopefully that truck isn't close to being crushed or crushed already....... ya never know how long it's been there already before dando discovered it........

Wow....Neohic called it..... Sure looks like the remnants of a front bumper spoiler alright. Given that those spoilers/air dams were one piece, I'd be surprised if the rest of it was in the bed..... Looks like those cap corners were cut clean as if to remove the busted up lower portion. If it is there..... And no big pieces are missing.... It may be able to be put together enought to make a mold.... And yeah that closer pic of the left fender sure looks very promising...... Mine have damage to the front faces where the forklift risers pressed into them.....likely when the yard guy moved it around. This one looks good. Why can't this kind of stuff appear in my junk yards?!?!?

Nice 91, Fiberglass Fenders
yellaheep replied to shawn's topic in Craigslist/Marketplace/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Damn that's nice. Thing is, you couldn't build that for the $12K he's asking so this looks like a deal really........ -
THIS! Dando or StrokerMJ......... if either of you are close to this junkyard, please do pull these fenders if they're in good useable shape. Even if only one of them is good. More photos of them would be good too. If the fiberglass is separating or if they've been banged around, they may not be worth saving, but regardless........ this is a RARE opportunity! I have been fortunate enough to have snagged a pair of these from a California yard. Someone else here may want them and should get the chance to get them. But if not, I would be very interested in them. So yes, please, please, please someone go rescue these fenders!

Nope, there were no difference between long bed and short bed leaf packs. I can see in his pics, the springs have painted markings "MJ 4 1/2" so it would appear they sold him what he asked for..... wondering if they somehow got mis-marked. Granted, when installed on the trailer frame, there isn't remotely enough weight to get those leaf packs loaded as they're intended to be...... Wondering what the shackle angle looks like with the bed on it. The other thing he needs to do is measure the distance from the front spring eye bolt to the center pin on the OEM leaf packs, then measure the lift packs. That measurement is supposed to be the same. The measurement from the center pin to the rear spring eye bolt is gonna be longer than stock. The idea is that as the suspension flexes upward, and the shackle moves backward as the packs flatten out, the axle movement is in a slight arc up and back into the fender well. Think of the front half of the leaf pack as a control arm. It's pretty common for the rear wheel to NOT be centered in the wheel well at ride height or when flexed downward, but when flexed upward, it should be pretty much centered in the fender well to eliminate any tire rubbing front or rear in the well. For reference....... This is my long bed trailer with OEM leaf packs, unloaded: This is it pretty heavily loaded:

If you mounted the springs with the big bushing to the front, the small bushing in the rear shackles, then they're on correct. But yeah, that looks wrong. Does Hell Creek sell springs for other vehicles? They look too short. Your shackle angle is AWFUL! Way to far forward. At worst, they should be straight up and down at static height, the bed weight should take them just off straight and angled back a tad. Those shackles are in danger of actually flopping forward if you unload (flex the axle down) the suspension, then they'll bind forward and bend your main leaf. Definitely send those pics to Hell Creek and see what they say. I have 5+ years in the leaf spring industry having sold them for XJ's. Those ain't right.
