MD junkyard alert
yellaheep replied to dybamx's topic in Craigslist/Marketplace/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
Is the newer model brush guard the Mopar one like this: They were available with or without the off road lights and plastic surround. If so, would someone be willing to go pull the mounting brackets? I have this one, but it needs brackets....... Image Not Found -
Just so we're clear, you are aware the lap and shoulder belt are the same regardless of seat style. What you're looking for is a right and left side belt receiver with gray plastic sleeves.......... correct?
-
Ah ok, the cone shaped black plastic end for the slider release handle. I might be able to come up with a pair of those as well. PM me if you want them sent to ya.
-
Sad. How did it happen? Was it at EJS.

Are you talking about the black dog leg shaped one that adjusts the back position (straight up, to recline)? Or the flip forward? I have several dog legs.... cost ya $5 shipped. Just need to know which side.

Amazing............saw it parked at the DMV today when I went to get my $372 sticker.

Well hello fellow Dually builder! Any progress?

Florida comanches
yellaheep replied to 88whitemanche's topic in Craigslist/Marketplace/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
The prices are reflective of exactly why there are SO many available in Florida...... no one is buying at those prices. -

I will now humbly fall on my sword and admit that I was wrong. Today I did some measuring and comparing the short and long bed bumper brackets, and the two hitches I have. Gogomorgo is correct in that the '86 brackets are indeed different than the '87+ short bed brackets. The '86 brackets are flat where the later ones have a bulge to accommodate the short bed shackle mount. My '88 long bed has the same '86 flat brackets on it, but are dimensionally the same as the short bed brackets on my '87 & '91. So with that said, short bed brackets simply have a bulge but are otherwise the same as long bed brackets. Now, as for the two hitches I have, one came off a short bed, the other a long bed. The side plates are longer on the long bed one, but today I realized this is because the cross bar sits below the stock rear bumper, where the short bed hitch sits behind the bumper, with the receiver below the bumper step. It's just the difference in aftermarket hitch designs.

91 metric ton pioneer camper
yellaheep replied to JTPioneer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Yep, that's a rare truck you got there. Some of us will cringe a bit with the modifications you have planned but you gotta be the one to love your truck so I hope it works out for ya. Do a "flatbed" and "flat bed" search on here - there are several short threads all about custom designs. There were quite alot of commercial Toyota dually trucks with flat beds sold and those flat beds would be damn near perfect in size, or perhaps wider than you want.....:dunno:. I frequently see these in junk yards....... -
Hate to disagree Eagle, but I have both. They are indeed different. As are the OEM bumper brackets.

seriously?
yellaheep replied to glundblad's topic in Craigslist/Marketplace/eBay... i.e. Not Your Stuff
I saw that too. Just the plastics. I could see fetching that kind of money if it at least had the console, horn center, door panels and seat skins. What's there is just a start at a black interior conversion. -
LOL........ oops, guess I did. Meh, if someone is serious about one of 'em, hit me backchannel and we'll discuss it.
-
Took them off the market. Still have them, just not actively offering them. Was getting sick of being low-balled when auction MJ's are getting good money. If I can get what I was asking in the ad, I'd be happy. But I ain't gonna give 'em away.

Looks like the "Turbo F1-Z"........... :laughin: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TURBO-F1-Z-Air-Intake-Fuel-Saver-ECO-Fan-Universal-Fit-/320527054317 Pulled one of these out of a junkyard jeep a couple years back...... kept it for novelty/conversation piece.
