This is just too awesome! Two of my orphan trucks have been bought by guys going the extra mile on them to make them amazing. This one in Ohio, the other in Iowa. Stroker, you're gonna end up with one killer MJ. So Jealous. My former '90 Eliminator getting restored by the Iowa guy. This will be his "shop" truck. He's into restoring Mustang police cars........ he has 13 of 'em.

Yeah, the approach angle is amazing........lol I'd be a whole lot more interested if he hadn't hacked the cab to make it walk-thru. That's a major bummer. Get rid of several hundred pounds of bolted-on "clutter" and over-built silliness and it'd be a pretty nimble and unique trail truck. The drive-train and axles do make it pretty appealing though.

I hear what you're saying about needing to trip the trailer brakes, but proper safety chaining requires that the chains are criss-crossed so that when the tongue drops, the chains cradle it and keep it from hitting the road surface and digging in. Those chain loops need to be able to support some weight. LOL......... not trying to turn this into a big discussion about safe trailer hauling and what not. Sorry if this seems off topic. I'd like to see this style. Gives lots of surface area to be welded for a solid mount and gussets the receiver: That's awesome that you're willing to make modifications should a buyer want to address this kind of concern! If I didn't already have 2 hitches, I'd be a buyer.

Loving the fact that someone has stepped up and SOLVED this long enduring problem of the lack of hitches! :thumbsup: I do have one concern........ those safety chain loops don't remotely look sturdy enough to do the job with a light weight trailer, much less that car hauler trailer in the pic you posted above. I'd seriously reconsider a stronger chain loop design.

JCR's website says this is their XJ skid with no mention of it fitting an MJ, nor do they offer one for an MJ. Any reason this won't work on an MJ? Anyone got this one on their rig? Thanks!

I agree. Been repainted. Seems to be a pretty clear tape line in the jamb in the open door pic. Same pic, the striker post appears to have overspray on it.

P71 harness has been removed..... nearly 20 lbs worth. Image Not Found Body work is done. Black lights and markers installed, chin spoiler installed, fresh fuel added, and a temp tag acquired. Runs and drives great! Daily driver time! Probably try emissions next week. I really should paint those white tabs behind the grill black.......... .

Fender brackets? The triangular ones that go just below the front radiator support area? (Below the turn signals and above the tires in the pic....)

Has no legit business established with the State or City, no licenses, pays no taxes. He was run off from NAXJA for his bad business dealings and had to start doing work on Ford Rangers/Broncos with other clubs to keep working. Now he gets his business exclusively on Facebook and Craigslist. Unreal to me how he's stayed in business this long. Get signed up on NAXJA and hit the Colorado Chapter. There are a few guys there that can set up an 8.8 for an MJ better and cheaper.

Yeah, I think ride172 was a bit ignorant in his posting those comments as well. I'm betting those pics were taken with State Patrol on scene already, but if not, traffic was very likely significantly slowed down simply because of the accident, probably had a decent sized backup on the highway right after impact. Hell, that car might not even be able to move..... Inertia switches that cut off fuel, air bag deployment makes them hard to see out of or drive, bent body could be binding a tire/wheel........ Also, has anyone ever tried to move a stopped/stalled car across 2-3 lanes of fast moving traffic to get to the shoulder without Trooper/Police cars stopping traffic for you? What if one or both cars are leaking oils or fuels? Better to keep them where they're at rather than spread a trail across other lanes. THESE are where things get dangerous. I'm a cop. If I respond to these kinds of accidents, I keep them right where they are. I wait for the big fire trucks to show up and their S.O.P. is to block the lanes of traffic behind the accident. We generally remove the non-driving cars with tow trucks right where they are. Move them to the shoulder and you get lookie-loo's rubber-necking at highway speeds, rather than at slower, bottle-neck/traffic congested speeds. But I digress............. :D Yeah, that car is very likely totaled. I'd REALLY fight my insurance company if they were gonna have it repaired and given back to me. I pay GAP insurance for a reason, and it's not to end up driving and making payments on a rebuilt car. Unless they're willing to re-finance a loan for a diminished value car...... nope. They're getting me a new one. Glad you and yours came out of that accident ok Airspeed! :thumbsup:

Yep, I wanted to find a set of those exact wheels - Mustang "fan blade" wheels. All the sets I could fiind must have been gold encased in aluminum...... everyone wanted a small fortune for them. That's why I went with the Challenger wheels, found a set cheap and they have a similar look. Wonder how much that one in the pic has been lowered........ and if they just cut springs or if they make lowering kit springs for 'Vics?
