  1. :ack: :ack:    :D :D    I would but it in one of those bubble climate control deals that sucks out all the air and sneak out every night to look at it.
  2. I need to move the power steering pump in order to get a taller radiator in place. I want to still be able to drive it down the road, and my skills at fabrication are limited. It is going to run $200-400 to install a rear mount radiator plus I really don't want that right now unless I cannot safely make more space up front. I wouldn't think twice about building other parts, but steering is kind of a big deal. I don't want to be that guy on the road risking others life unknowingly. This thing is by no means a DD but it sees decent pavement time.
  3. Is there anywhere on here where someone has gone through the process of installing a hydraulic ram steering setup. Also is it safe for something that still drives down the road occasionally if set up right? Thanks in advance.
  4. I am going to look at it, but I have to guess it is stock gearing. From what it sounds like to me its the 35 out back 30 up front. I have a 98 bonneville that I am looking at trading him for it. Car has 173,000 miles but I have owned it since new and would think it would have another 60-80,000 left in it.
  5. What would an 89 4.0 cherokee with 7 or 8 inches of lift and 35's get for mileage. Has to do better than my V8 right?
  6. Has anyone installed a remote radiator in the bed of there truck? I have tried everything to keep my V8 cool. I am pushing around the idea of running a radiator in the bed for summer wheeling and being able to switch back to my over priced custom aluminum radiator up front in the winter :headpop:. So my question is what works the best. Do I run an electric waterpump? what size lines do I run? What kind of lines..heater hose?...stainless exhaust tube? Also does anybody have pictures. I have two small electric fans, that just don't flow enough. I bought a taurus fan but after looking what all needs to be trimmed and massaged to make it fit, I might just wait and mount the whole thing on a remote radiator and be done with it. :help:

  8. For this engine which is a 350 I just "modified my oil pan alittle :D , and had to add a drop pitman arm. I have the steering box brace, but still need to reinforce the frame more for added security. I have no flex issues, but judging by these pics a little degreasing may be in order
  9. I am also looking to ditch the bed for a flat bed.
  10. Yeah a King Air 200
  11. Did you say you have a gas engine blowing black smoke? Blue is oil, and white is coolant/water most commonly from a head gasket but maybe you already know that.
  12. Seeing as though I never seem to get pictures on the trail, I thought I would start taking pictures of my truck parked next to random things here at the airport for my contribution.

  15. As soon as I got my hood built and painted I was anxious to get it put back on and see how she looked. Bolted down the back hinges pulled the support rod out of the way and let it close. As soon as it clunked shut it dawned on me I didn't hook any of the hood cable stuff back up :fool: . I was lucky enough to be able to get my arm up and snag part of the release stuff on the hood and get it open after several strong minutes of foul language. I wish I would have found this sooner, i will attempt to store it in my brain somewhere for next time. Great info.

  18. I have a large saltwater reef setup that I have geeked out with all the timers, wave generators, and overcomplicated systems. My garden gets some pesticide if I see signs of bugs or disease, and a mild amount of organic fertilizer but other than that I have a cheap timer on the water only because I will turn it on and end of forgetting about it all day. I grow 4 varieties of tomato, bell peppers, onions, ornamental corn, chocolate mint, cilantro, sage, lemon basil, etc. as well as pumpkins, watermelon, strawberry's, and zucchini. I am at work and don't have any pictures right now. I also grew up on an apple orchard with around 500 trees.
  19. Nice work. If it was in the budget I'd have one ordered. Keep up the good work
  20. Send me some, I will slap them on as they taxi by  . I had a business card sitting in my car when I took it to the tire shop, the kid saw it when he got in to bring the vehicle in, turns out he has a comanche he wants to sell. BS'd with him a while and wrote my number on the back on the CC card and gave it to him. Might soon be another addition to the family. :wall:
  21. I couldn't pass up a photo opportunity. PA-30 Twin Comanche, and an 89 Jeep Comanche. We also have a PA-24 single comanche on the field but haven't got a shot yet.
  22. There was thread that I cannot find, that had pictures of things that had the name comanche, but not jeep comanche. I'm not finding it and the search doesn't like to use the word comanche. If some one has it saved let me know.
