hi guys. wondering if anyone could enlighten me. wifes xj back brakes are not working properly and under fairly hard braking, - like coming to a quick stop down a wet hill on a rainy day it seems like only the fronts are working. ive had this happen on other xj's ive had over the years. i doubt its the distribution box and i believe all the other hardware to be good as well. - any input greatly appreciated. - shawn.

she sounds like an awesome woman and this sounds like a great love. those surgeries must be tough to go through, - it sounds like your relationship makes it easier for her to keep her chin up. here's wishing for a good recovery. :)

show truck. he even uses the words "show truck". yes its beautiful and probably fun to drive around town. not suitable for the bush. also, i had my rear shocks set up like that. it's a bad trip because as soon as there's flex in the rear, they snap off. broke a couple off before i re-installed studs to mount the lower part of the shocks onto the tube :)

Alissa In response, as the owner of a Jeep Grand Cherokee: I would start by saying that if you are looking for a greasy, sweaty piece of pseudo-Patriotic machinery on jacked-up tires, you, my pelt-wearing pal, should keep looking. If you are looking for a brief description of the beauty before you, I will offer you this: “Literate Driver.” You are dealing with a standard of Jeep manufacturing, son. This thing–like all her quality-controlled brethren–was forged by Union Labor during a nice little work day with paid breaks. From that day forward, this Jeep has been about the same as every other Jeep on the road. If you’re looking for an antler-adorned chariot of the bygone Confederacy, keep on going. This is no over-compensating stick shift, it’s an automatic so that you can keep that left hand on the wheel and right hand firmly grasping your gold iPhone 5S. (Just kidding, obviously this car has bluetooth voice command, brah.) It has A/C and power everything because, are you kidding me? You have a goddamned job and you want to get there looking halfway respectable. “What if it snows?!” Well this car–and you–will give zero @#$%s because mama’s got 4 wheel drive anti-lock everything and a million airbags so that you and your Mozart-loving, clean-clothes wearing kiddos can get to hockey practice in one piece. If you’re thinking about after-market bull$#!& for this baby’s exterior, think again. She’s got her signature chrome grill and Goodyear all-weather tires rocking just fine, thank you very much. And DON’T EVEN THINK about hanging a pair of pewter testicles from the trailer hitch because this car has solid-gold lady business that’s ALWAYS tastefully under the hood, thankyouverymuch. Get ready to pull this Dockers-jockey into your two-point-five car sustainably-built garage because the following things are about to start happening, Broseph: 1. Hygiene 2. Shaving that ridiculous Movember dirt squirrel off your face 3. Medium-sized rescue dogs 4. Jamie Oliver recipes 5. 401K contributions 6. Voting 7. Boxer briefs 8. Husband cooks amazing dinners 9. Spelling 10. Thrillary Clinton ’16 11. NBC Thusday night scripted dramas 12. Building stuff out of Ikea boxes 13. Heart health 14. Apple computers 15. Giving to charity 16. Small-batch bourbon 17. Husband stops at the fall wine sale after work 18. BIRCHBOX 19. Bon fires in the above-ground, granite-surround fire pit from Lowes 20. Actually, yeah, more golfing sounds good 21. Boat-haulin’ 22. it may be time to consider changing your drug-of-choice .........

that is definitely the only standard zj ive ever seen. highly doubt any were ever imported to canada. i'd run an ad on denver c.l. just to see what the response would be like from a wider audiance.

that plymouth sounds like a super fun project and good value per good times. ( mind you, just to buy any plymouth muscle car nowadays is probably as much money as a tesla). i like the idea of electric for the street though, and id love to have an ev comanche. either 2 or 4 wheel drive. it's still very new technology but the numbers and power are there. now if they could just get the batteries to last longer. i've seen some really good motorcyles, both street and motocross. snowmobiles would be great for the back country. people just don't like a lot of noise anymore.

16" Stock Wheels In 4.5". What Will Work?
shawn replied to shawn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
this is excellent info. thank you. i never checked but always thought the chrysler stuff was 5 x 4.75. I'm not a fan of big rims on an mj, but some look ok, and there's tons of deals out there on bigger tires. -
16" Stock Wheels In 4.5". What Will Work?
shawn replied to shawn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i think the 17' crown vic wheels will work too ( although i havent had a chance to confirm this yet). if so, it would be a boon to take advantage of all the good deals ive seen lately on used 17' mud tires. -
i love these bumpers too. http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/cto/4359593366.html

95 Ax15 From An Xj Into My 91 Eliminator?
shawn replied to shawn's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
on-going saga ... got the tranny in from the 95, including the unbled external slave and master, but now its behaving just like the internal one on the old tranny. - move the pedal a mm off the floor and it grabs. can't get the upper gears or reverse. at wits end....... what could be the cause of that ?? -
all jeeps are cars except for mj's and fsj pickups. - and fc's. they all get car plates in this neck of the woods.
