  1. But when the clutches are still good?
  2. Browsing through craigslist today, came across this in an ad Somewhere out there there is a guy who is scratching his head the same way I would if I had that axle.
  3. One thing to keep in mind is that the commander is no more, 2010 was the last year for the commander, this leaves jeep without a 7 passenger vehicle. Jeep wants to keep a foot in that segment, hence why the talk of the grand waggy again.
  4. well to find the ax-15 in an MJ you will need to find an 89-92, course if you find a 2WD AX-15 then it doesn't matter, the 2WD ax-15 cannot be mated to a transfer case. Good luck with your search, I'm gonna hazard a guess and say you will be looking for awhile.
  5. that pic looks a little Range Rover ish...
  6. Nice golden, mine loves the snow too!
  7. Really, condition should be at the top of the list, you can change the mechanicals, but not the condition of the body. Plus thats a pretty specific list for such a short distance around you.
  8. Getting closer with the rest of it. Shooting for driving it tomorrow. Need to re-center the steering wheel, install the front bumper, Body panel alignment is a b*@$£, and after taking parts on and then off and then on over and over and tweaking it over and over you can get it to look right, so I guess the results are worth it.
  9. Ya and the left one ain't too good looking either.
  10. This one has 307,008 and sold for $1100 today: http://auc2.traauctions.com/kws/napplic ... Exit=Close
  11. That was going to be my second suggestion, I was going to ask if you had a neighbor you didn't particularly like.
  12. 2nd. Grumpy old men. :D  I feel the need to bring this up again.
  13. Drag into street. Problem solved. :dunce:
  14. front door mat? sell on craigslist?
  15. I would also recommend he bring the wheels.
  16. Dana 44 heavy? Compared to the 8.8 or 8.25 it sure isn't. The small axle tubes of the 44 make it much lighter than the 8.8 or 8.25.
  17. I count 10.
  18. I see no reason you couldn't use a hitch with it as well.
  19. I like it, clean simple low profile. Too bad I'm not super flush with cash.
  20. You better not be including the "wind chill" in that figure.
  21. Pretty good price. I sold my last one for $300 for 3.55 w/LSD complete. Glad to get it, I had that thing for sale on craigslist forever.

    thoughts ?

Not knowing any of your background: Sounds like you have a 4.10 rear d35 and a higher(lower numerically) D30 front. First off, you should figure out your front end gear ratios, and easy way to do this is by measuring pinions turns to wheel turns, ie divide pinion turns by wheels turns for numerical value. If you want to keep 4.10s your best bet is to find a 4.10 LSD or open diff from a ford exploder, and swap that into the rear. If you want to match the rear with the existing front a 3.55 or 3.73 ford exploder (8.8) can also be sourced, and will be stronger than a D44, 8.25, and of course, the D35.

You mean an older D30? That D30 is a passenger side drop, leaf sprung, and has more years of metal fatigue on it. Or did you mean that AMC 20? It has two piece axles, a different width, a different wheel bolt pattern, and leaf springs that are useless on an MJ. Might be good for a CJ owner, worthless for an MJ owner. Getting an upgrade to that d30 is going to be hard. Nothing bolt in, nothing the same width, nothing the same bolt pattern(discounting the TJ D44 front since its not really much better)
  24. Alberta, British Columbia, and Yukon Territories. Not single good beer was found in the liquor stores, just miller, coors, labate, molson, kokanee, moosehead, etc. There's gotta be some decent beer in Canada, I just couldn't find it. Of course, I'm a beer snob, which comes from living in a town with 8 breweries.
