  1. Looks exactly like the icon for the fog/driving light switch. I have a scanned pdf of the installation sheet if anyone is interested in getting a copy and posting it up in the forum. I have no idea how. gjeepm@yahoo.com
  2. My '89 came with a factory roll bar and I have a NOS MJ roll bar lighting kit. On the right side of the steering column is where the roll bar light switch goes...it's on a similar pod as the left side. Don't have photo's as my truck is in pieces.
  3. This post reminded me that I have the window sticker from my '92 Comanche Sport. Hadn't looked at before now...$13,926
  4. Hasn't had a good life by the looks of it. Missing much. http://sfbay.craigslist.org/eby/cto/2652920686.html
  5. I've tinkered with something based off this company's idea...http://www.dynolockproducts.com/store/i ... ucts_id=19 Been in touch with them and even sent a sample handle several year back but has absolutely no interest in producing a large or small quantity for the MJ. Plenty of room in the MJ tailgate for a lock like this-- and can tie it in to factory power door locks. Project is on the back-burner, but some day will have something.
  6. I looked at the yoke and it was good. Did not put sealant on the outer edge of the seal when replaced. Leak is coming from the ID. Where was your leak coming from Don -- the OD?
  7. Did a search with no luck... Only leak under my '92 is coming out of the back of the AX-15 where the slip yoke goes in. The original seal was leaking spinning fluid in a circle (slow but steady drip). Replaced the output seal with a new Mopar seal that is 1/4" shorter than the original. And the leak is still there. Any experience with what's a good fix/ reason other than getting another yet another seal? Thanks
  8. Yes, have seen vinyl black sunvisors in 86/87 XJ's and MJs at the yard.
  9. I ordered an ACC carpet from stockinteriors.com. High quality carpet, but I suggest you specify NOT to get the molded heel pad as they miss the proper location and place it 1/4 the way up the trans tunnel. I re-ordered twice as I assumed it was a fluke...it wasn't. GET IT WITHOUT THE HEEL PAD.
  10. I contacted the mfg of the mount as I agree it is a nice looking unit. You need to remove nearly all of the factory front crossmember, leaving the top strip in place for the radiator. Not sure how I feel about that yet...
  11. Checking in on these brackets. Progress?
  12. Trust him, they're not available. I did the national locator search about a year ago... Your only resource would be the wrecking yards.
  13. Just pull straight out. They are pushed on.
  14. I'm up in NorCal, but would head south with my '92 whenever this gets set up.
  15. Thanks, the photo's show the difference between the Renix and HO...but now that I've confirmed this, I've got an issue/ question around my fuel gauge. How often have you heard of the dashboard fuel gauge being the issue for a full tank of gas that shows a little over 3/4 tank full? I dropped my tank today on my 92 MJ and the sender looks fine and is positioned where other wrecking yard HO senders are. What's the chance it's my gas gauge on the dashboard?
  16. Does anyone have in front of them a Renix-era fuel tank sending unit assembly? I know the dealers sold the Renix & HO sender assys as the same part# though they were different. Trying to learn visible differences of the two senders possibly by the numbers stamped just below the dial "sweep" on the unit itself. My HO sender is stamped with what looks like 838001. Are Renix-era senders stamped the same?
  17. You have a Renix-era headliner in your hands. The sun visors in that era (86-89) were very different than the 90-92 years. They were longer and mounted in the middle/ front of the headliner on a rectangular plate that covered the dimensional hole you are talking about.
  18. Looks like a short bed bar to me.
  19. 86 MJs only would be badged Command-Trac or Selec-Trac on the lower right of the tailgate (opposite the 4.0L badge).
  20. I was doing a Renix rebuild on my '89 MJ before I decided to go H.O with it. I bought a NOS Renix era factory r12 retrofit kit for XJ/MJs without factory installed AC. It was near complete with parts and did come with complete instructions. It did not come with the evaporator box specific for AC equipped vehicles...this box/ plastic shell is the same Renix to HO. It also did not have a condenser if I remember correctly (the part located in front of the radiator). The condenser is 99% of the time the same as HO years (unless you have a type 2 style condenser with unique fittings). I can't remember if this kit is a type 2 style or not. If it is type 2, I do have a NOS condenser, if type 1 I do not. Will have to check. Other than those two parts I mentioned it has everything else. New evaporator core, Sanden compressor, brackets, hardware, hoses, labels, etc. Let me know if you're interested. I paid $700 for it back in 2002. I believe I have scanned the installation guide for this kit if you want a copy.
  21. Additionally, wasn't BA10 21-spline and AX15 23-spline.
  22. Is the header just upgraded or did you do the fenders as well? I see it's the older style bumper, can't tell if you added filler panels to the lower front part of the newer style fenders or not.
  23. Just a set of brackets that make Comanche seat track brackets work with the newer seats.
  24. Yep, the plastic piece is what I am looking for. Thanks
