  1. If I remember correctly the longbed MJ's have one shock front side of the axle and one aft. The shortbeds have both shocks backside of the rear axle. The top shock mount on the shortbed MJ is a mounting point for the sway bar links. The bar worked well when I was running the standard rear leaf pack. One thing I'll say is that top nut should have been a castle nut with a cotter pin through the threaded shaft. Even with thread-locking and double nutting these top mounts the nuts would loosen. Once I upgraded to metric ton leafs, I passed the sway bar along to Don. I'd recommend it if your running factory leafs. I did notice an improvement in handling, but the top nuts need to be addressed. I do think they could have come up with a better design however.
  2. That guy in CA was me...
  3. The 97+ fenders aren't full length in the front. There would be a gap bottom side near the bumper end cap. I considered doing this...and the only way I would do the swap keeping the 84-96 XJ bumper is by cutting/ welding the "lower" portion of a pre-97 fender in this area.
  4. I paid $350 from a east coast dealer. It was missing a few parts. Last time I checked they go for $750-ish complete.
  5. I'm converting my non-AC 89 MJ using a factory kit. Jeepco...sounds like you're running a 95 XJ complete AC system. I wonder how similar the wiring/ fittings would be between the Renix years and Chryco. I'm guessing you stripped the donor or all behind the dash wiring and hoses, etc. No issues with AC cutoff switch, etc by mixing years?
