On my dads xj this happened and we used LORD Adhesives (i believe its a 3m brand), Its normaly used on the ends of studs or strait to letters to hold signage up on a wall. you just mix it, lay it, leave it. oh, and make sure to get all of the glue off your hands within minutes of applying, when the glue sets it lets off lots of heat.

Hit the nail on the head with the discription... ill go check the sheath.. I know that isnt what this thread is about but i also noticed that the idle seems high (can't tell for sure no tach) after i get off the highway, whats causing this, tps? -
I am having to re-tighten the tension on the parking brake cable every few weeks. Its not really a problem but its getting kind of annoying. does anybody else have this problem and tips to stop/fix this problem...

Mine did that when i had a bad cat... u might want to check that. -
 That is without doubt the grossest thing ive seen or ever thought of from chrysler motors. MVUSSE, my dad had an s10 for about a month and i drove it a little bit and absolutely hated it. it was all over the road and spun out really easily. Thats why he got rid of it after only a month. But that was an 80s s10, i don't know about the newer ones...

does anybody have any wiring diagrams so i can possibly find out where the grounding strap connects to the body so i don't have to tear into the whole harness while I'm checking this problem... Thanks for all the help so far guys. :chillin:

I had this problem and had to replace the socket. That fixed it. Try that before you go digging into the electrical. How far should i go back and replace into the harness from the socket? I'm tempted just to put in a few inches of new wire (so i don't have to pull the header panel) but i don't know if it would do the trick, I don't think it is a bad ground b/c i think it is one strap that controls all of the front right lights in the harness and it would cause issues with the inner lamp as well, though i have no proof of that. where do i get a new socket?

Transmission won't go into gear
james750 replied to blytkd's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had a similar problem. mine turned out to be that the plastic piece on the shifter that lines up in the forks was broken and got wedged in front of the forks. Try shifting into neutral when comming to a stop, then go into 3rd b4 going into 1st, this will line up the forks until you can tear into the tranny to fix the problem. It also makes shifting feel less sloppy when its working right. just my 2 cents... -
i don't know if there is that many but I want to plan a trail run for those who are interested in the fantastic rocky mountain wheeling.

Well, hopefully I'll have them installed in early May. All depends on if me and Jeepco have time to fab up the mounts for them. what type of seats did u get

i wonder if there is any way to get a third jump seat in there, like one out of a ranger rear, hmmmm. The problem i see with it is that the ranger seats mount sideways. I want to do the bucket seat install, yet i don't want to lose the ability to carry 3 ppl if needed EDIT: oh, what about a fold up center seat from a 90s f250 xlt buckets, ill have to measure the one in my dads truck tomorrow. that would also give me a center consule. could be too wide though

4 low shifting problems
james750 replied to 88MJofficer's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
The T-case shifter does not run off the vacuum, it's "hand" operated, when you shift into 4wd Hi or 4wd Low, that operates the vacuum switch on the transfer case to the front disco / 4wd dash light. beat ya to it there wildman lol...
