yesterday a guy asked me if i would trade for his 86 xj with 300k miles on it, the truck has 100k and was not for sale. i said nooooo. Then i went inside the restaurant i was at and he followed me in there and asked me why i wouldnt trade.  For these reasons I'm keeping it in the garage and the xjs are all outside. I hate when people ask u to sell them stuff thats not for sale.

I'm confused, were the original windows three pane? mines a 4 pane that i bought with the truck. B4 now i didnt even know electric rear slider was an option on this truck, i would be interested in getting a window with the rear slider and having a shop putting it in if i could find one.

Well, Found the problem. The Heater hose was broken off right past the reservoir. I tried re-attaching it with just a soft hose but its still leaking, off to csk tommorow to get some fittings...
-
Mine just started doing the same thing, but i think i know of where the leak is and have a question. I just did a CAD bypass and have been trying to plug the vacuum holes that come from there, ive tryed shoving caps on it, shoving screws in, shoving caps, then screws then sealing it and it has worked ok for a while but after my sister hit a tree with it  over spring on the pass. side bumper I'm worried that it could be the ball is cracked now. what else can i do to seal the lower CAD hoses? I'm going to go down and check the ball now.....

There is 2 options one with for 239 and one for 289 with the Shackle tabs. for me i decided to go with the bolt on type d ring tabs (or weld on) thinking i would save money but it turns out that i won't save that much. The one with tabs is 289. With D rings http://www.quadratec.com/products/72108_1003.htm Without D rings http://www.quadratec.com/products/72108_1002.htm -
Yep, thats the one, mine is the $239 one and the 289 one has shackle tabs. I took it up on a trail that was in deep deep sand last week where i came down on the bumper really hard a good ten times and its still in perfect shape

Ill check there. What do you think of the locker itself and how it performs on the trail, have u had any problems with reliability?
-
yeah, eventually i want to go to a 44 in the rear from another mj. I think ill avoid the ECTED's if the customer service is no good. How much do u think a 44 from a pick and pull would be?
-
That helps, makes perfect sense. i have the five speed so i guess i have 3.07s. Now i just need to know about which locker to choose, I like the idea of not having to put in OBA but ARB seems to have a better reputation than ECTED. Twisty, why wouldnt u put an arb into a 35?
-
What is the OEM d30 and d35 axle gearing. Is it 27 spline, 30 spline? Also, can someone tell me what they think of there ECTED? I'm trying to choose between this kind of locker or an ARB.
-
This is ur ac compressor?right? :chillin: Would a setup like this work to run an air locker such as arb?

one install tip: drill out the holes a little bit b4 u put the bumper on because the holes are the exact right size and don't line up perfectly. they're close, but the screws try to strip out when u put them in and get sideway's. i learned the hard way and stripped my first bolt and had to take the bumper on and off twice to get the holes lined up right. -

I'm hoping to get ahold of a welder to use get the tabs welded up by the end of April. i already have all of the parts, just need to weld em on there. I had to take the old tow hooks off because of the way they were mounted.....bumper wasn't in the way, just didnt seem all that safe or sturdy. -
