  1. if I was going to swap in a GM V8 it would be a LS motor, check out this thread on NAXJA http://naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=945920
  2. I didn`t think anyone still bought those things  , I just trashed a pair last week that were on my YJ
  3. your clutch has a master cylinder also its located next to the brake booster
  4. I had the ghosting problem, it was a broken ground strap from the engine block to the body. I fab`d up a custom 1/0 ground cable & fixed the problem......now to finish the rest of the battery cables :wrench:
  5. TNT is under 2K & is a direct bolt on for the MJ RE stuff is nice but when spending 2K I don`t want to have to modify the kit to make it fit IMO the TNT belly/skid plate is a better design then the RE belly/skid
  6. HIJACK; 702_MJ how about some info & specs on the red MJ in your sig
  7. My brother & I both have Line-X bed liner, I would recommend them to anyone, never had any others though. A friend of mine has a rhino liner which looks to hold up find but has faded to a grey color. The one thing about Line-X is when it is new it is kind of glossy but after a few weeks it has more of a satin look(which looks better IMO).
  8. have you looked at TNT kits? they have 5.5" & 7.5" kits http://www.gotreks.com/page.asp?pageid=185
  9. +2 for SOA
  10. Coming to a super bowl near you soon.....
  11. Santa brought me another Jeep.....its no MJ though, oh well I couldn`t pass up a good deal 1990 YJ 4.2L 5 speed
  12. 2nd FWIW I did NOT say that D35s ONLY have rubber plugs, I said if it has a metal plug it SHOULD be a D44. Information you find on the internet is worth what you pay for it....you always have to do a little follow up research. If the OP did a 5 second Google search he would have found the same D44 pics that I found to compare to his D35 pic he posted after I replied to this thread. :wavey:
  13. Metal plug should be a D44 it will look like this; this is what a Dana35 looks like; note the rubber plug
  14. $150...thats outrageous! You can buy a pair of these for less then $15 if you don`t have access to a welder look up a fabrication or 4x4 shop they should not charge any more the $50-$75 to weld up
  15. Well what did everyone get? I have to wait till this afternoon to find out
  16. I like it .....big wheels are fine in my book(btw they don`t look that big to me, what are they 16s or 17s?)

looks like a good location for a fire pit
  18. The type of stuff foose would do to a comanche would not be the type of thing I would like to see done. guess you didn`t see the episode with the early Bronco? Foose has very good taste in cars IMO
  19. I may have a set of MJ bucket seat brackets later this week, I`ll post them up in the for sale section if I get them
  20. I finally ordered a clutch kit for my AX-15 swap, going to order a new flywheel & SYE tomorrow hopefully it will be back on the road before the end of Jan.

    Snow Day

I thought Washington would get snow, maybe just in the mountains? nice pics BTW, I can`t wait till we get some snow here, there has been a couple of dusting`s but thats it. I have a funny snow story, When I bought my first Jeep, a 1991 YJ(also my first 4x4), I told the salesman it will probably never snow again. The next day we got slammed with a Nor`easter and got close to 30" of snow, it was great I actually got to ride a friends snowmobile about 5 minutes from my house.
  22. I have always liked the FSJ, one day I`d like to build one with one ton drivetrain & a Cummins 6BT check out http://www.ifsja.org/forums/index.html
  23. the revolver idea is ok for off road but dangerous for the street IMO I like the buggy spring idea for a street/trail friendly rig, like this; complete write-up here;http://longhornoffroad.com/pages/writeups/tech/yjbuggysprings/yjbuggysprings.htm
