  1. Hauled my TJ axles (both the bent LPD30 and the new HPD30 that I'm replacing the bent one with) to a friends house so he could cut the tube off to get the axle shaft out of the bent one and he's going to do the regear for me. Sw2
  2. It's what I drive when my TJ is busted or I'm working on upgrades on it.... also used to take stuff to the dump, or haul bigger stuff around, not a Daily Driver, not really a wheeler, yet...
  3. I am NOT searching for anything ever again... it's useless, I'm just going to start a new thread every time I want to ask something... 8) it's Fake grass, but not "astro turf"...called Pregra... but I do Vacuum it from time to time
  4. It's tried a little bit already...have to do some behavior modification...
  5. A couple more since I'm a pic wh0re...
  6. We need a "Help me search for a thread' sticky thread...where the person that finds the correct thread tells the search criteria used, search terms, etc...
  7. Brought her home this afternoon.... Great little dog so far...haven't heard a single bark yet, she is crate trained and likes the crate we bought for her. She will sleep in there for a while... no accidents inside yet... my kids are beside themselves excited...
  8. Ok, Case in point... I'm searching for the thread, where I posted a Link to the Dana Axle Tube Stamp Identification Data base to try to determine what year a certain Axle came from... I searched for 'Axle Identification', 'Axle stamp', 'Identification', 'tube stamp', 'Dana', and about 10 other combination, and I can't even find a thread that I posted in... I'm sure those terms should be in the body of that thread somewhere, and the search came up with zippo... I know for a fact that the Search engine on PHPbb is much inferior to that of VBulletin (MUCH MUCH in my experience in using and admin'ing both types of boards)... I know I sound like a broken record, but there is a difference and the "searcher" can't be 100% to fault... BTW, if someone finds that thread, I still need to find it... Wade
  9. Yep. It's a function of today's "instant gratification" society, unfortunately. It's another aspect of the same personality type that posts an obscure question at 3:47 a.m., and if they don't have 15 on-the-money responses by 7:00 a.m. they're posting stuff like, "Well, doesn't anybody here know ANYTHING?" How many times have we seen posts from newbies that start off with something like, "I know I could just use the search, but I'm in a hurry so I figured I'd just ask." Right -- so because you're in a hurry, *I* should use the search to find the link you're too lazy to look for yourself. Not. Some days it's a real struggle to remain civil. Some days I lose the struggle. I say it's the crappy search engine on this FREE board software that we've offered to pay the $$$ to upgrade to a "real" Forum, but Pete doesn't care to do so... :smart:
  10. Article title : "Off Route 66 Exploring the Gold Camps of Oatman" Page 20-26 It's more of a travel piece than about the MJ, but there are a couple nice pics and it represents well..
  11. That sweater is so ghey. So your saying if I get the dog you want me to send the sweater to you...give me your ZIP for shipping quote.... :brows:
  12. I'd like some Sham-Wow's...shipping to 95066... :hijack:
  13. We are going to look at and maybe get this dog from a Rescue on Saturday. I hope the sweater is not part of the deal. She's a 4 month old Lab/Retriever mix who was rescued from Taiwan and flown over. Has her first 3 rounds of shots, spayed, microchipped, crate trained, etc, etc. I talked to the rescue coordinator lady last night and it sounds like this might be a good match for us. Will post if we get her.... SW2
  14. I have them on my TJ and the rear of my MJ //end thread!
  15. Before or after I remove my ARB and R&P? Not sure, I was thinking an open diff. You obviously can't get the carrier out if the shaft's still stuck in it. Did the shaft come out at all? Not even a little bit... I might try to flex the Axle back down by connecting a strap under the axle to the lower side of the knuckles, or try to cut the tube off (without f'ing up the shaft) To add insult to injury my Unit Bearing on the passenger took at dump (split badly) and I can't find a replacement 30 Spline unit Bearing and doubt that I'm going to be able to get any warranty love on since AlloyUSA went under and bought by someone else and then pass around again... Lesson...stop jumping my Jeep...
  16. Before or after I remove my ARB and R&P?
  17. Yah the housings bent a little bit... I guess I need more better tools to yank it out... I can't get the knuckle off becuase of the axle end, so it's hard to get much grip on the end of the shaft...
  18. Not an MJ question specifically, but I can't get the Passenger side axle shaft out of my slightly bent D30 (non disconnect) Axle Tube... This is my TJ with the slight "smile" on the long side of the axle tube, and I have everything off, basically just the bare knuckle still bolted on. Not sure if the issue is the slightly bent tube or what, but it won't budge. The Driver side short shaft popped right out. Wade
  19. Nice score!
  20. I have a set of these that i'll install once I do a swap....good stuff! Better than stock I think... http://browndogindustries.com
  21. My FREE HP D30 (non-disco)...not sure what year it was out of, and it actually still had the LCA's/springs/shocks/steering (tierod/draglink still on it)... The only thing the guy said he might want back is the Knuckles and Calipers, but he didn't even seem too worried about those Not sure how I'm going to get it out of the truck by myself, but it'll probably sit there for a couple days...might gut the thing in the bed of the MJ and then get a buddy to help lift it into the garage...
  22. I think I posted a link on how to set it up...
