  1. Are you talking about the hockey stick style armrests? You mean the clip that is inside the door where you insert the threaded screw before you twist the armrest down to screw the bottom two screws to the door? If so, the junkyard is your best bet. I forgot to grab one of them clips when I pulled some black door panels for a friend when he switched from reg style armrests to the hockey stick style. I can ask him what he used to fix the problem, I think he used something besides the original clip. I will PM him now EDIT: He said he used a larger plastic plate screw clip. Like the ones used on bumpers.
  2. Very nice. Do you still only need one if you run it down into the door?
  3. These may help too: Spicing wiring to MJ rare harness: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19695 This shows the interior install and how he did the bracket for the 97+ dash: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19695
  4. Is this the wiring for this option? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-OEM- ... 20aec319af
  5. I'm also gonna go with the clock plug. Mine was stuffed over behind the power/comfort switch. I think it was 94 when they did away with the clock plug and put the clock into the radio
  6. Maybe it isnt seated in the tank properly and the float is stuck on the "pan" in the tank. Just something to check. Did you swap the temp sensor on the back of the head or the other one? As for the stumbling when cold: The truck runs in open loop mode when cold and switches to closed loop when it runs for a while. Check your oxygen sensor
  7. When you swapped the fuel pump did you put in a new sending unit? If you put in an after market sending unit (airtex) then that may be why your gauge isnt reading correctly. Altho it says it is compatible with an MJ it isnt. It is actually a mirror image of the MJ sending unit. There is a pic around here somewhere
  8. I think it was only after a certain year. Jeepco is more than likely correct with 96. I know the earlier ones had a slip yoke.
  9. how? front wheel drive? I think he means because all the fluid won't leak out of the transfer case when you remove the rear shaft with the SYE. And of course, it would be in 4WD
  10. Did you swap the fuel pump for the 4.0? They are different for the 2.5 Temp Gauge: The engine my have the temp sensor for the idiot light gauge instead of the temp sender for the temp gauge
  11. In my MJ, that console would have to be placed pretty close to the bottom of the back of the cab, in order to clear the back of the bench seat. Since the seat back is at an angle, with more room at the bottom that at the top, something like that would have to go closer to the floor. But if the speakers are already mounted in it, should be pretty easy to mount and wire up... I swapped buckets in mine, but before that my bench seat was broken and the drivers side actuall leaned back against the back of the cab. If you lowered it a little farther down on the carpet piece I think it should clear fine; and they also have tweeters built into them to along with the speakers
  12. I was thinking of finding one from the Wranglers that hang on the roll bar and mounting it to the carpeted panel on the back of the cab just under the platic piece Like this: http://www.amazon.com/Outland-Sound-Bar ... B000GVLJ0S
  13. Definately one of the best builds to date. Nothing forgotten about. :clapping: :clapping:
  14. Ends in 6 hours http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jeep-BA- ... 4a9d6b2cef
  15. I might know someone with the black carpet piece, I will ask him. In my MJ I think the plastic piece was rattling due to a broken clip and the genius that used to own it must have thought it was the carpet piece and put two drywall screws thru it and right thru the back of the cab. I ASSume, to hold it in place. :fs1: :wall: :wall:
  16. If you got them to work while messing around with the wires, it sounds like there is a loose/bad connection somewhere in that area.
  17. Be careful tracking down the smell. Ive come to find out that there are usually two holes next to each other and you can get cross-contamination if you arent careful.
  18. I do and now I'm at work.
  19. When you see the price you will probally decide to find a decent set at the junkyard
  20. A few more: Maiden!!!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgqxQmAbTBc Whiplash http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56BaWzjP ... re=related
  21. Nice write up, it is also a how to for replacing a broken directional stalk. Does this work on all columns incase I see a nice car I want to take for a "test ride"
  22. Just how good these bands were: (have to watch short ad for the 1st one sometimes, but its worth it. No downloading) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o6LZnz0E ... L&index=52 just some reminders. Post some of yours.
  23. My MJ was doing this randomly too, each time I unplugged the CPS and plugged it back in and it fired right up. Hasnt done it almost a year now. All that plugging and unplugging must have cleaned the corrosion off the contacts.
  24. The f-150 coils I think will be very stiff on our smaller trucks. you can get all the vacuum lines that come off the valve coverat napa. Like $20 each for the 2 halves at the front and $12 for the one off the back
  25. Maybe he moved into the van and hasnt had the internet hooked up yet :rotf:
