  1. Yup, Spencer is a GREAT DUDE!!! Who does GREAT work!!! CW
  2. Not Tanneau covers, bed RAIL caps. Personally I would prefer Dianond Plate but anything is better than all the holes the PO drilled down the sides!!! CW
  3. Yes they are made of the same alloy as all non steel Jeep wheels. The color is graphite. I like it alot too!! CW
  4. I picked up a set of XJ LIMITED wheels a while back. I had them sand blasted and I sprayed them with DUPLICOLOR WHEEL PAINT. They came out great!! BEFORE: Image Not Found DURING: Image Not Found AFTER: Image Not Found Image Not Found Here is the paint I used: Image Not Found Here they are all mounted up ready to go: Image Not Found BTW, Turbine wheels are also called Jeep ten spokes. CW
  5. My local club goes there every August for what we call COOLRIDE. I have been for four of the past five years. I have bent my steering EVERY TIME!!! I changed to the JCR and bending/breaking it was the FARTHEST thing from my mind!!! I was on a hard trail, but not in an overly hard/difficult atra. i think it happened right about here: Image Not Found or here: Image Not Found Neither too difficult, but I did have to cramp the wheels to get thru there.... I really think the part was faulty nad had a buble in the casting or something. they told me that that was a old part from a supplier they no longer use. the new stuff looks just like the MOOG stuff I now keep in the TJ as backups!! CW
  6. I questioned this as well. I under stand the intent, but do not agree. Its things like this we wiull see more and more of since the bleeding hearts seem to run the country. don't EVEN GET ME STARTED!!! CW
  7. I too REALLY want these!!! I have herd the Ranger and S10 for same years will work. But have not seen for myself, so I am not certain. CW
  8. :redX:
  9. I have it on my TJ. Its VERY beefy! But I have to say, I managed to bend it on my last trip to paragon. I think it was a bad TRE. Image Not Found Image Not Found JCR was AWESOME! I called them from the trail and they sent a part to my Hotel. It didnt hurt that I was wheeling with three of New Englands 4WD parts places!! ALL FIXED!! Image Not Found CW
  10. I am going to hang on to them. I have just about everything for a 3" lift for a XJ/MJ. So when another "deal" comes along, I will be ready!! :brows: :brows: CW
  11. You could make them work. BUT know that the bolt will rub on the side of the TB bracket. For clearance on the MJ XKJ. You need a longer "U" section OR a flat head bolt. like a "carrage" style for more clearance. I use the Skyjackers for a XJ and find the rubing VERY anoying to the point I have been running WO my front bar attached!! Now that its colder and the windows are up, I'll likely reconnect. I can be kind of anal about noises from my Jeeps. CW
  12. As others have mentioned the wheel base could be a problem. The XJ WB is 101" while the SB MJ is 113" and the LB is 119". ALSO, the XJ has its leaf's mounted OUTBOARD of the "frame". Many MFG's use the sides of the front leaf hanger as an attachment point for the rock rails. MJ's do not have this. again, this will depend on the manufacturer. Why not make your own? Many guys have on here. Take a look in the MJ PROJECTS area!! Good luck. CW
  13. Well,...all I can say is    :chillin: They are WAY brite!! I rechecked the pkg to see if they are DOT wattages!! they where. Here ya go: There is a slight blue "flair" on the garage doors. But the light is white, MUCH more so than the Sylvanias I had and liked so much before! CW
  14. I had put in Sylvania Silver star headlights a while back. the much better light you get from them is a big improvement over reg halogen bulbs. Monday was my birthday, my wife got me a set of replacement lights that use the H4 bulbs like I have in my TJ. These are even a bit nicer as they are glass not plastic. I am not a huge fan of the "Blue" bulbs, but thats the style today. I put a set of the same silver star bulbs in when these burn out. Here is some pics of them and the differences in light output. More pics later when it gets dark. Here is the OLD Sylvanias: Here is the new H4's: Here is a shot of the old Sylvania lo-beam: Here is one of the H4's lo-beam: As you can see even in daylight, the H4's are "whiter" even though they have the blue tinted bulbs. The Sylvanias seem yellow. They certainly seemed white compared to a reg halogen back when I installed them. Now these H4's seem brighter/whiter than that!! Like I said, I am not thrilled with the blue tint to them, but I like the light out put. We shall see what they look like later on tonight! Stay tuned..... CW
  15. Another spot to look is the TRUCK STOP or RAIDO SHACK. The 102" steel whip will also get you the best reception!!! I agree with Pete, get a good spring and a steel whip and don't look back! But WATCH OUT on the trail!!! I have been on runs where they where NOT ALLOWED!!! Can be dangerous to bystanders!!! CW
  16. SOMETHING going on with the "juice" your TPS is getting!! I replaced my battery a while back and had to have the TPS adjusted, it was getting more "JUICE"!!! In case you didn't know, that's how you are SUPPOSED TO adjust the idle on a renix TB. Via the voltage. I would take it to someone with a good meter and who knows how to check/adjust it properly. CW

I have 4" OR 4.5" coils (cannot remember for sure) and then 2" & 3/4"poly spacers. I took the ACOS out and saved them for another project. I trimmed the front by about 1 1/2" all around and then a bit more at the rear lower edge/corner. I have 4" RUSTYS leaf packs and extended shackles for a total of about 5.5" - 6" overall. Out back I trimmed even more. I needed to remove the rust and get into good steel to remount the flairs. Yes I am running 33x10.5x15 BFG MT's on 15x7 Outlaw II aluminium rims. Check out my thread in build ups. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1230 As well as my photobucket account. Type in cwlongshot and use JEEP as a read only pass word. 18. Sounds like some kind of short to me. Maybe??? Cole Check your GROUNDS!!! OR even ADD some!!! CW
  19. Double check your bulbs. The lights SHOULD be ONE reverse and TWO for Stop/Tail/Turn. OR one 1165 for the reverce and TWO 1157's for the stop/tail/turn's. :D CW
  20. Like Eagle, I have the YJ lines on the front of my MJ and they are fine. I had to lower the top mounting point when I went to the taller lift but that was only a matter of drilling another hole a bit lower in the "frame". CW
  21. I thought it went to one side of the coil?? Thats the way they USED to go anyway???? CW
  22. How about a couple NIGHT pics of the light those puppys produce??? You know some from inside and some from outside. CW
  23. I posted a couple video clips of my two jeeps exhaust notes. In that other thread about exhausts going on now. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2497 CW
  24. Here ya go! Image Not Found Image Not Found If for some reason you need a pass word, use the word "JEEP" CW
  25. My self and some others have done most of the things you are thinking about. Check out the threads on the "MJ PROJECTS" section. Mine is CW's MJ. http://comancheclub.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1230 CW
