$500 buys you a nice set of wheels and tires, a nice front end w/cool fenders and various other parts. :dunno: -

I'll get some pics of it this weekend, a lot of it might end up in my garage. i've been on the lookout for a maroon bench and i'm only <90mins from Winchester. so if you didn't need or want the bench, i may be interested. if you could find out the price that would be great. doesn't even have to be maroon if the frame and foam seam to be in good shape. thanks for any help. No problem, I'll check it out for ya. I'm looking at some tires/wheels down in Churchville and would probably head down there this weekend so it might work out for both of us. I'll let ya know. I'm 20mins from Churchville. If I can help you out, let me know. :chillin:

This thread is for pics of wheels on Jeep, especially ones that are too big, too small, f-ugly, cool, whatever. A lot of regular photos too, but the stupid ones are great. One non-jeep one I like on pg#2 is the old Ramcharger on 49s with no lift. Can you say cutting wheel? :rotfl2: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f59/jeep ... ndex2.html

you also have to consider how many miles a year you put on your tires. how soon will you have to replace them? i always break it down to a per wheel/tire cost in terms of what i'd be willing to pay for just the wheels or tires. that's $100 per wheel and tire before shipping. i think that's a good deal. i look at that deal as $60 per wheel and $40 per tire. rubi/moabs are still pretty popular and i look at jeepforum classifieds almost every day. $250 is about the low end for a set of 5, $400 the high end, wheels only of course. those are nice tires, and 31s too. but shipping puts you at $80/wheel and $60/tire if you follow that approach, and IMO that puts them a little high when i know there will be a lot of more of these available over time. be patient and you'll either find some closer for less shipping cost, or close enough to just go pick up.

here ya go...... http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f125/tires-rims-987665/ ad says $200 but he doesn't say what that gets you. i bet you could get these 5 canyons for $100 + shipping. from PA to SD you're probably looking at another $100 if he'll ship.

well then, if you sell it to me for $50, then you just made $50, right? :smart: ohhhh, ok then, $100?

Installing sound system on Comanche?
WahooSteeler replied to CHINOTJ's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
as already evidenced by the responses so far, you can go simple or elaborate, budget or high dollar. i'd agree w/pete that if you plan on running a sub in the back, the stock 4x6 locations in the rear would just get drowned out. w/out a sub, a nice plate speaker like mfpm's infinity's is basically a component set up, you just don't have the flexibility of mounting the tweeter where you want. i've said many times on here that a 6.5" (what i have) or 8" bazooka tube will provide an amazing amount of low end in an MJ cab, and takes up very little space. my pioneer high power deck allows you to bridge the rear channels to a 2ohm load, single channel at @45w. doesn't sound like much, but 1) in an MJ cab it doesn't take much, and 2) that's at a very clean 2ohms and going to a dual voice coil sub personally, i think the ideal system would be a pair of 5 1/4 components with the woofer in the doors, tweeters mounted on the windshiled pillar, 6x9 components with woofer in the rear panel locations, tweeters mounted in the rear corners up by the ceiling, and either a 8" bazooka or a 10" JL Audio box, couple hundred watts for the components, single channel amp w/3-500 watts for the sub. -

IIRC that is where goblazers cut his, and mounted sliders there too. look up one of his pics of the truck he USED to own. :fool: (that's for you darren) -
with a little patience, you can usually find a set for $100-150, wheels only. add tires and i usually see them anywhere from $150 to $450. if the tires are pretty decent, even $450's not bad IMO, assuming a set of 5. that being said, $250 w/some usable tires seems to be a common price i see.

Hate to keeping asking for Carfax, but......
WahooSteeler replied to WahooSteeler's topic in The Pub
If it's the one listed in PA, which according to the VIN it is, something seems fishy about it. $5k + under book for retail. Not sure what your situation is, but I think if your that close to paying yours off, I'd work with the bank to refi or something till you get stable again. One thing to consider on that Audi, is one trip to the mechanic will be an arm and a leg. Hope it all works out for you. Meh, I know Audi's are expensive to maintain, but it's more about how often you have to swallow a large repair bill. That being said, Audi's are pretty often. My current car is German and can be expensive to maintain/repair, but, knock on wood, has required minimal unscheduled maintenance so far, and the simple fact is I love it to death. I just spent the past 30mins researching Audi's reliability issues again, and it ain't pretty on the early 2000s A4s. I acutally would be worse off right now if I got hit with an unexpected large bill as opposed to my current payment for the next 16mos. I guess what makes me keep considering an A4 is that we owned an 01-02 Passat w/1.8T and had zero problems for 4yrs/44k miles. Blast to drive and great mileage. Add in the Quattro of an A4 and cheap (relatively) chip and performance upgrades, it becomes very enticing. But I suppose we got rid of the Passat before typical problems kicked in. This A4 only has 65k on it. Oh well, I know I'll be happier in the long run if I can keep my car anyway. :chillin: -
