I think #1 is just a different style of "hook" Instead of a actual hook its tab with a hole. Like you'd find on alot of imports. My Honda's have points like #1 for recovery.

What are y'all using for backing to bolt the new strikers to?

We just got in about 20 Lincoln 350mp's at school and they ROCK! Mig, tig, and stick, but d@mn their pricey.. All's I can tell you is get you a good used unit then step up.. 110 with gas, argon/co2 and let her rip. After you get good enough and feel you need more then upgrade. Skip the flux core,, I really don't like'em.. Spoiled I guess.. For welding structural parts, like perches, you don't need to do it without experience or training.. I mean its not only your life, but those around you if its not right and fails.. Get you a good, used, entry level machine and leave the big stuff for a professional, or go take a few classes on how to weld, get AWS/ASME certified.

CW.. I had a old timer tell me if you don't use a resin filled heat shrink you still get corrosion in the wires.. He said the best thing to use on wire terminals is liquid electrical tape. :dunno: I didnt use either on my new grounds, but I know how you like to have it done right, so I thought I'd pass that info on..

Dude I just read all 5 pages of your insane Geo build... Great just great! Not sure about what that 3 banger uses to control idle but the FSM should tell you. I'd look into whatever controls air intake past the throttle body. Maybe a vac hose near the tb or around it. Deff can tell your paint isnt the most matching, but its not too bad.. The doors look good, the rear quarters look faded maybe had less, or more reducer/hardener, or might been a high humidity when sprayed. Either way it looks good & it's what I'm planning on my Prelude. Hotrod flats with a satin clear. I can't wait to see your MJ build. Whats your plans with it?
