Did you find the ground on the drivers side inner fender.... it's just over the front tire.... if I remember right it's hid by something .... maybe the air box or something....

yea the strength is fine I was concerned about getting the width close (always hated how the 80's chevy's were so much different in width) which is why I asked about your spacers.... kinda sucks I gotta buy new beadlocks though..... thanks again for the info.......

Yea it's an ETCHED I bought the axles as a set a couple years ago and was told it was an E-locker. After it started slipping I realized I may have been misinformed.... after pulling the cover Monday I confirmed it ..... I've always planned to go HP44 / 9 just figured I'd break what I had first...... mission accomplished.

Really nice Rig...... and thanks for the info..... I'd like to keep my 8.8 but I wasn't sure if I could get it wide enough to match up with a cut down HP Ford D44.

Sweet Pics...... I hope to someday get out west for some wheeling...... I was out over the weekend and my front ECTED started slipping as well.... I pulled a few teeth off my ring gear also so I'm pulling mine out and swapping in a lunchbox..... I also have the 8.8 rear and was wondering how wide of an adapter you were running on the back to match up with the 44 in the front.

Thanks Bob...... by the way where are the pics of your MJ? Seems everyone is patiently waiting for the big reveal..... I ordered a new set of Dana 30 4.88 gears from Rock Auto last night...... $158.00 shipped to the door..... I'm thinking of regearing the Dana 30 then selling off it and the rear 8.8 as a set. That should finish paying for the Dana 44 HP I'm building.

Thanks guy's........ Looks like I'll be upgrading the Dana 30 to a narrowed Dana 44HP soon..... I just hate to spend a bunch of money on the Dana 30, also because my next set of tires will be 38's.....

Went riding at an Off Road Park called IVY over the weekend and had a great time...... ended up sheering the teeth off my front ring gear and some minor body damage but all in all I was able to get back to the trailer under my own power and just before dark. Here is a pic of my ring gear and a few shameless poser shots..... After sheering the front gear I was making full use of the winch quickly discovered a loose Ground Terminal... might have also done some rocker damage right here as well....

Keep that MJ on the trail....... that's where it's happiest..... very cool pics.....

My brother and I spent the day finishing up the bobbed bed and with the exception of the back glass I think I'm ready for our trip to IVY this weekend..... here are a few pics.....

We name other humans so that we can differentiate ourselves from others. Saying "Hey You" in a crowd isn't very effective, We give dogs and cats names so we can differentiate between them as well. If we buy 10 turtles and place them in a tank we will name them so we can start to learn their differences and eventually tell them apart. Every ship from the beginning of ocean travel until today is inanimate but it's given a name....... this is done for the same reason as above...... Trains, hurricane's and even storms are named.... again to differentiate. Here we are on a website with countless Jeeps all with the same name....... should we differentiate? .... If the need didn't exist why would the factory just not call everything a Jeep? Should history have recorded the Titanic sinking as " A ship hit an iceberg" "Thinking of a nonhuman entity in human ways renders it worthy of moral care and consideration" someone from Harvard recently wrote this on the subject...... how many of us here have spent countless hours and resources giving our Jeeps care and consideration? But ultimately there is no correct answer, some people feel very passionate about naming their MJ's and some find it silly..... you decide if you think yours deserves it..... and like Willy says above these are my personal opinions. Just like the stray dog that shows up on your porch and you won't let the kids give it a name..... once you name it your probably gonna keep it...... I think all rigs have a personality and I think you got yours half right..... she's definitely royalty, at least among some of us MJ owners, I would consider Victoria (Vicky) or maybe Isabella (bella) for short.... They may not have had "Garage" in their title but they were a couple of the most powerful "Queens" in history..... just something to consider....... (I would personally go with Bella, she was way hotter)....

Cool thanks....... I had a 4.6 when I use to race but traded just the engine for the MJ I'm driving now (of course it was stock)..... there are times when I miss it.....

Really nice.... where did you get the header? My brother has a 4.6 with a 505 head and crank.... he's looking for a header like that.

That "lover" is nice..... Someday I'd like to build a Daily Driver MJ but I can't justify both..... ditto on the axle specs I really like the stance.....
