  1. 29 spline 8.25? What gearing Pete?
  2. Peugeot has a 21 spline output, AX-15 has a 23. You can mount your 231 from a pukey to an AX-15, but you have to swap in a 23 spline input shaft first.
  3. 'K
  4. I would really like to come... but I seriously doubt I'm going to make it unless some weekends get moved around. There aren't any XJs there with a rear swing-out tire carrier, are there?
  5. I bet you if you'd walked into a dealership in 1985 or 1986, and said "I want a Comanche with everything you can possibly put on it, and I don't care what it costs", you'd have gotten it.
  6.
  7. Could be worth that price, if it's as clean as it looks, and all those new parts are really there.
  8. What? A friend and I picked up one of my shortbeds, and while we could lift it, it was a pain, hard to control, and there is no way it only weighed 125 lbs. A longbed is gonna be a bit more than a shortbed too. I would get at least 4 guys, to make sure you can control it enough to not jam it against something, or end up dropping it. maybe you need to build muscle lolllllllllll :rotfl2: just kidding maybe I'm wrong about the weight but me and my buddy liftted it no probs maybe its because were both military guys The bed might've had some crap it in though... I don't remember at this point.
  9. Did you just run out there? Cause you could've simply glanced under the truck.... they're very easy to tell apart from the bottom.
  10. What? Are u usually involved in high speed chases or something? I have mud tires you don't say much.. Mudders sound like helicopters when driving on concrete. You're posting a lot for someone who's supposed to be doing math. :rotf: :rotf:

  12. They only other way I could help you is if you happen to know RPMs at a certain speed in 1st. All the gear ratios between them are the same, except for 1st.
  13. Rear axle has nothing to do with it, it's all dependent on when it was built. Early 89s got the pukey, later ones got the AX-15. No idea when the break was. Know the build date of your truck?
  14. Not necessarily. They make excellent boat anchors. Seriously though, if they're in a DD and you're not too bad on it, you should be fine. My first 2 XJs had them, and I beat the crap out of them, and they never broke. They're a lot like a D35. Some D35s do fine with 35" tires and are wheeled hard, and some break if you look at them wrong.
  15. AX-15 > Wet noodles in jello > BA 10/5 Edit: Not sure why I didn't notice this before... but the AX-15 has a cast aluminum midplate. The AX-4/5 has a cast iron one.
  16. There's your leak.
  17. Sometimes things pick weird times to brake. My brother's starter decided to go out during a motor swap. You didn't forget to plug the IAC in, did you?
  18. A Miata? Really?
  19. Why does everyone hate the rake? I love it. It looks a little mean, and it makes it so it doesn't look like it's dragging it's @$$ when it's loaded down. More on topic though... if you have a 4 cylinder, you can throw a set of 4.0 springs in to pop the front up a bit.
  20. I waaannnaa goooooooooooo :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:
