I need the luck š

I donāt want it to burn down! I will upgrade the negative grounding wire first; one came with the amp kit to begin with. I will give you all a little more information. I have a kicker amp. I have six speaker - 2 overhead , 2 front and 2 in lift gate. I have the remote wired to the amp remote lead labeled on the radio. I had the same exact problems with the other amp. I will update the ground wire and try the power antenna wire. Then I will report back. Thanks for all the input so far
-
No subwoofer, just speakers.
-
Oh no, my ground goes to the front where I have a dedicated post that is wired directly to battery. Definitely not the same gauge as power cable
-
I will try this too. Thank you
-
This thing is . One spot works but only on the radio setting. CD and USB have nothing. Amp is turned off on these inputs. I am going to try another amp and then take it to a audio store if I canāt get it to work. I can do a lot of things but this isnāt one of them
-
Thank you both! I will try it and let you know.

I need help.I am trying to get my stereo to work with an amp. I have never had an amp in any of my Jeeps before. I think it will let me clearly hear the radio over the tire and road noise. I have gotten the radio to tur the amp on, but nothing from speakers?? I have tried all combinations of the rca cables and speakers wire but nothing š¤¬. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? Where the cables are supposed to go? Here is what I am working with-> Thank you. What are thes two black connectors for?? Have not tried those

More power! I am adding in cab a dedicated ground point, fused constant power point, and a ignition switch power point. I went with a Painless power block for the ground and ignition point. The Painless part came with two isolated threaded posts. They had a had wall built between them, but it came in black. I figured it was only designed for ground only, so I painted the one side with red paint. My goal was to run a direct line to the battery and a positive ignition powered line to the other side. The Ground was easy to set up. The ignition powered point was not as easy. I thought I had a empty spot on the fuse panel, but it turned out to be live . After find a loose plug, I found out that it could use it by asking CC members what it was used for. I ended up drilling and taping out holes to mount the block up behind the drivers side kick panel -> Did this on my Comanche and was very happy with the location. I then moved on to the fused constant powered block -> It has 6 connections all directly wired to the battery. Like in the MJ, I decided to put it under the steering column. I marked the two hole locations and drilled out them out with a piece of thin flat steel behind it to prevent me from hitting anything that I shouldnāt. I then started to tap out the holes for the stainless steel bolts. I was about halfway in the hole when my furry helper decided he wanted some attention . He nudged up under my arm causing me to break off the tap in the hole . I could not get the broken piece out but I just drilled and taped out a new hole below it -> I got the block mounted in place and ready to hook up my lockers to -> They both work very well and I could not be happier. -

I have so much to update on this Jeep, but I have to figure what I should update first. Well I have had my Quadratec Q9000 winch for a long time. I havenāt even used it. I had a cooling issue with the XJ, so I threw everything at it. I even took off the winch thinking it might be adding to the overheating problem. It was not the problem. Had a professional burb the system and now it runs way cool. I have the air conditioning thingy and transmission cooler in front of the radiator and still canāt stay at 210. I know, not at all typical. I just started putting the winch back on and I donāt expect any rise in the running temp. Here is the first part of reinstalling the winch -> -

That is a good one but I would hate to see what the OX would look like! Classic movie Pete. I wonder how many of the millennials would know about this?? 89 MJ - they are the Bushwhackers. I got three free from a member here and the fourth one I had to buy. Ended up costing me two hundred but beats the full price! Only thing is the new ones are textured and the old ones are smooth. -

I have reached the end of the break in period for the new gears and lockers, so it is time to change out the gear lube in the axles. I went with Eaton E-lockers and 4:56 gears like I have in the Comanche. I am very happy with the setup, so no need to change what works for me. Old diff cover coming off-> Look inside at the new E-locker and gears -> Now hereās the thing - I was playing cornhole with the local Jeep club and if you win you get a choice of raffle items. I was on š„; I won. So it was a Hi-lift jack, 4wd gift certificate, or a pair of Ox Locker differential covers! I know I have Eatonās f/r, but these are nice and beefy. And they were for the D30 and D44! I really like them and you canāt beat the price . The rear cover was already on, so just a picture of the new front cover -> -

Oh boy, what you wouldnāt do for your kids . Unfortunately I probably will do some part time mall crawling. Hereās the deal. I had my son in the Jeep for the first time and he loved it! We were heading down to Clearwater beach when my son spotted a Jeep XJ š¬. It was a county vehicle and was pulled over on the side of the road. Here comes the mall crawling portion of the story. . . It had the flashing strobe lights š. He was hypnotized by them. So Trey said we need to have them on āourā Jeep. Now I am going to have strobe lights on the Jeep. Should go great with the ābaby on boardā sticker. -
Thank you guys!

Went to install my JCR Off-road battery tray and the bolts holding the old battery tray in were rusted in bad. So, I had learned a trick from an old timer mechanic. Before WD40 š they had an effective way to loosen rusted bolts without snapping them off. I wish I had known this years ago. I ran out of WD40 on this Jeep, so I gave it a try. Itās part technique and part rust penetrate. Put a little brake fluid on the rusted bolt. Carefully tighten the bolt just a tad, then loosen the bolt a tad. Keep doing this a tad more each time and it will come right out. You know what; it did! Started setting up the battery tray -> Got it it mounted in -> Going to put this battery in, basically got it free/long story. I would never buy another one of these FYI -> And it all locked down -> I am pleased with this product. Again, in my opinion they could do a better job on thier powder coating. TBC
