Its been awhile since Ive been on the forum, mostly because my jeep has been sitting for months. Now that I started driving it again, new problems pop up :fs1: I noticed I have no parking lights or taillights. The headlights are fine, and the brake lights are fine, as well as blinkers.Also, the dash lights are out. Is it possibly a ground issue? I have very little time to work on it this week, so any help diagnosing it is very appreciated!

Somebody keyed my Comanche while it was parked in front of a friends house last saturday night.....down to the metal. SCUMBAGS!!!! Luckily its only a foot long but what the hell, the was no reason i could think of whatsoever for it. :fs1:

Ill try to get up more pics of the tent if I find them. Unfortunatly they'll be the same bad quality since I don't have any good ones. Anyways,that particular truck tent is made by LL Bean,and I actually have the original reciept sitting in front of me. The scary thing is, now that I look at it, the date on the top is 5/11/88! For description it simply says: Short bed mini pickup truck tent, and the price new was $149.75. I found this thing by accident one night looking around on craigslist. It was an older couple who had it and posted it in the wrong section (cars for sale).Anyways, they said the only used it twice since new and had it on a Nissan pickup. They were very specific saying it would fit any mini truck except a Dakota. The thing is brand new, and fits the comanche perfect.....best $40 Ive spent. Actually, once I set it up at the camp ground, I drove it around with the tent on it to show it off!! :yes: Check out LLBean to see if they still make em' cause its a real cool thing to have if you camp w/ your truck. There was plenty of room inside, alot more than I expected, not to mention you can zip it open to your cab if you have a slider, as well as side windows. Sorry for the hijack..........

Nice find, that cap will be perfect for camping. I've used a cap before, but recently picked up this beauty off craigslist for $40. I used it twice over the summer and love the thing, not too mention it looks really cool on a comanche. ( sorry about the pic. quality )

Hey 1999MJ, where did the truck come from? The reason I ask is because I tried contacting a guy months ago that had it for sale out on cape cod. I never got a response from him, but then saw it on this website and noticed someone from the next town over had it ( i think ). I'm guessing I just missed out on that one ( if you picked it up in CT )......woulda been a great winter beater. Anyways, keep up the good work, keep the pics coming!!

Update: So this truck would not start, which is why it was sold to me. Tonight I finally had the chance to pop the hood and do what ive been wanting to do since I got it........Un-plug and re-plug the crankshaft positioning sensor and hear it fire up!!! It runs great, so great in fact that ive been driving it around the neighborhood. I just wish i did this in front of the guy I bought it from, that woulda been priceless!!

Two rows of comanches in a junk yard...... I dunno if it makes me sad that there's that many destined to be scrap, or happy that there's that many that can be parted or brought back to life! You MUST go back and get pics, don't anger the comanche gods....

I probly will sell the tonneau off it, but It'll be a few weeks before I have time to do ANYTHING. This site is giving me 2nd thoughts on swapping parts off this truck, so Ill keep you guys updated. Who knows, maybe it'll be a driver!

I know, the more I looked it over today the less I wanted to take it apart. Who knows, maybe Ill come across a clean bed 1st. Anyways, I'm going on vacation for a week Sat. morning, so Ill have all that time to figure out this ones fate.

I found this one online a few weeks ago but haven't been able to find time to go grab it. Last night I decided it was now or never and went on a midnight trip up to New Hampshire to get it. Its an 89 4.0 2wd Eliminator, but most importantly, its RUST FREE!! The guy I got it from said when he bought it in 98', it had been driven out from Cali. Not a bad score for $500. I really have no use for a 2wd truck however, so my plans are to use the bed off this one for my 4x4. The bed on the green one is ok, but I used filler and it shows in a few spots. Plus theres a million odds and ends that can be used off this one as well. On the other hand though, part of me just wants to clean it up and drive it....... so who knows what I'm gonna do. It does feel good to have another one though!!!

Hey 89 MJPioneer, that white comanche is the one from near the Cape! I messaged the guy and tried buying it but never got any response. Pretty crazy that it ended up so close by after all!
