  1. Sold this truck back in 2011, and regretted it. I had just bought a house, and was finishing a restoration of another truck. This was just sitting in the yard, so I figured Id grab the cash. But I didn't realize how much I missed it until I saw it for sale on South Jersey Craigslist yesterday. :fs1: ( Ill try to post a link ) I guess I'm having a hard time accepting how rough its become. Its pretty beat. I hardly recognized it. Maybe someone can save it... There's a lot of time invested in this truck. Anyways, Ill be starting a new build thread soon, because I bought a 90 Comanche recently. I'm planning on keeping this new one for a long time. Too bad I didn't see my green 91 for sale, or I would've started all over again on it.
  2. I would be in for a spring/summer Rausch Creek meet. I've got something up my sleeve and plan on being back in the game by then. Look forward to it.
  3. Ill call you this weekend. Any quick details or pics?
  4. Some of you may remember me from my Comanche build. I sold it a few years ago, and regretted it ever since. So I bought another one, an 88 4x4. Well the frame on that one broke on a wheeling trip this past weekend......So I'm looking for #3. Id prefer a shortbed, and somewhat built already would be nice. Cheap is good. I do have a lead on one, but I'm open to suggestions and tips. Let me know. CT area...
  5. I agree. At the time I thought it wouldnt be a big deal, and i had my fun with it. I think I saw how flawed my thinking was about a week later. So I'm starting fresh, but aiming for something that i can comfortably drive out of state if I need to. Basically the same truck, just on 31's....for now.
  6. I havent been around in awhile due to being very busy. Bought a house, moved, finished another truck I had, work, etc etc. The worst thing I did however, was sell my green Comanche. So after a year of being without one, I picked up another today. No pics yet ( soon soon ) but it will be a slow build, and will be aimed at being more of a driver than a 'wheeler. The plan is for it to be a cheap beater, but thats how my old jeep started out. Anyways, its an 88 4x4 shortbed, 5 spd, Chrysler 8.25 rear, and around 3" lift with bfg 31" AT's. Pics soon.....Good to be back!
  7. Long story short, Ive had a truck that has been sitting until recently. I decided it was time to register it, but I can't find the previous owners reg, and because of its age, CT doesnt issue titles. The DMV told me that without the previous owners reg " it is unregisterable " I'm looking all over for that, but I was wondering if anyone could run my vin# in the meantime..... u15hleg7080 its an old ford. Thanks in advance
  8. One of the first MJ's I read about online. This truck (and others on this site) got me into these things. Great choice for COTM
  9. :fs1: I really want in on this but its not looking good for me. Just bought a house and seriously doubting the MJ would make it. In other words, take pictures and have a few for me. I really wanted to be part of this meet and greet....maybe next time!
  10. Love this site.....It was the ballast resister. Thanks, much appreciated, now I can go wheelin this weekend!
  11. So before I go diagnose this, I figured Id throw it up here. Gotta love jeeps. Anyways, my jeep will fire right up, and within 3 seconds, shut right off. This came out of the blue the other night, and I havent had time to look at it yet. I wanted to go wheelin this weekend, so maybe u guys can help me out. Like I said, fires right up, then dies right after......Throw out suggestions, I'm going outside to figure this out.
  12. The flamed Comanche is somewhat local to me. Ive filled up at a gas station next to it before, and looked at it as though it would be great for parts. It had no rust, and thats all i liked. My friends have all texted me pictures of this thing when they see it in traffic :fs2:
  13. Talk abbottabad place to hide.....
  14. These are the decals my truck had originally. I figured I would never find these again or find someone to make them, so I went with what was available. I think they look great, but I'm sticking with 'Eliminator' for now. If I find another truck though....... :brows:
  15. Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm alot happier now that I'm done with the body work  The gate is now green, but its rattle canned for now.
  16. Couple more pics from Rausch Creek...
  17. JCR 1-ton steering installed. Also, I bought a dana 44 last night. Pics soon.
  18. I for one can't stand or figure out why most diesel owners ( around here ) feel the need to rev their truck at me when I'm driving mine. Calm the f##k down, its a pickup, go pull a trailer or haul a couch. I understand diesels can make sick power but please stop trying to show everyone who u think needs to be "informed" of how great you truck is. My diesel isnt a race car......it just hauls one.
  19. Same ones, but the grey is hard to see on my paint.
  20. I slapped Eliminator decals on my 91 Pioneer, so to the un-trained eye, there was 8.
  21. Still spring under, forgot to mention...
  22. So after adding my spare, bumper, hitch and spare parts in the toolbox, it appears my rear is slightly sagging. Does anyone make shackles that will regain the ride height lost from all this weight? I'm looking for an inch or two.....
  23. I passed this truck Tuesday on Rt. 6 in Brooklyn....looks good. Post up pics if you get that other mj!!
  24. Cool. a local truck! I drive through Brooklyn ( Rt. 6 ) at least two days a week when I'm working. Ill have to keep an eye out for this truck. Good score on the short bed, looks solid.
