spray on bedliner

Recommended Posts

Ours is being done by Line-X next week hopefully. They have an additive now that is supposed to keep it from fading. It does cost extra, but they give a gaurantee with it too...I just don't remember the details right now as it has been a few months since we discussed it now.

I had my bed sprayed with Reflex Liner over a year ago. It still looks shiny & NEW. it cost about $350. Enter Reflex Liner in your search window to read about it. They even have a coupon for it. Have some color choices also. I'm not affiliated with this company, just happy with their product.

RHINO LINING. Had it on three trucks now and I can't get the stuff to chip or wear out. Toughest stuff I have seen.

Seen a lot of problems with line-x for some reason. Doesnt take much for it to peel up or rip when sliding something with any weight across it.

Yes - I also used the duplicolor stuff in the can on my rockers and inside the floor on both the xj and mj. It looks and works fine but I'm a bit concern about durability in the bed - I do not want to scrape it the first time I drag a shovel on it. I have seen the rhino and line x and like both but do not like the price, How about the Herculiner? anyone has anything to say good , bad?

I did mine myself for about $40.

Duplicolor Spray in Bed-liner in a can. Stuff works greats and if you give it several coats it last quite well as well. I've used it on the bed of my MJ as well as all the rockers on our XJ's.

I am VERY surprised you have had good results with this product. Glad it works for you, it dosen't for me.

I use it for many applications, but for real durability ...well it sucks!! Its fine if its not going to see stuff rubbed and ground into it. It will come off fairly easily. Cinder blocks, metal and anything hard or sharp digs right thru it. It will hold up to foot traffic and fire wood and the like.

One thing I LOVE THIS stuff for is handles on sledge hammers and gun stocks!!!

Well I will admit I have not put it to "the test" yet. The MJ is just a trail-only rig and the most I've had in the bed is some camping stuff, my big "trail box" that's full of tools/spare parts, and a spare tire. I have not put a load of stone or anything like that in it.

So take it for what it's worth. For me it serves the purpose very well; for someone else who uses the bed a lot more than I do than it "may" not hold up as well; I dunno.

CW - that is the way I'm starting to lean right now. The herculiner or the duplicolor one that brushes the same way as the herculiner. I'm thinking in giving it a few coats of this stuff to build it up. For the price is worth a shot. I'm going to watch the sale for these product and for warmer weather to do the work.

I tried Herculiner in the cab and nerf bars, prep is the key, follow all instruction, they give you a scouring pad to scuff up the surface but I sure didn't trust it to do a good job ended up using sandblaster 60 coarse then prep with Xylol, pretty tough stuff with all those rubber bits, just don't get any on your hootus.lol

Bought mine at local Kragen 1 gallon kit $89 minus $25 rebate so around $65 plus tax. 1 Gallon enough to do a 6ft bed add a quart more for 7ft.
