J10 for $500.....drool.....I'd sell an unneeded internal organ or two if I didn't have the cash handy.

BUT, being it's a southwestern PA truck, check the frame closely for rust-through.

Just tell the wife you won it in a raffle that supported homeless children and the tickets cost $500.

I would love to have it.

a rust free Honcho stepside is worth its weight, seriously, you don't find them or townside Honcho's all that much and normally they are rusted to sheet.

Mjeff, all Honcho's were j-10's so 360/T-18/D20 with 3.31's in a front 44 and a rear 44. UNTIL 1979 then it was 360/T-176/NP208 with 3.31's in a front 44 thats driverside drop and a rear AMC20. Optional from 1977 when the first honcho came out you could get a 401/TH400/Qt with 2.98's in 44's. or 360 with stick or auto or the 258 with TH400 till 1979 with a q/t and 1980+ is TF727 as a auto trans and they only had the NP208 as the transcase

A few years back when I was truck hunting there was someone in Hendersen Nevada with a red Levi's Honcho 401 for sale. If I recall it was going for around $10,000 I still have the autotrader print out somewhere, but I bought the MJ instead. For $500 I hope someone picks up that truck and gives it a good home. Like I said before the Mrs and CFO is looking to euthanize anymore Jeep strays that come my way.
