Speaking of sticker shock….

Sticker shock maybe but the B&M short shifter is going for anywhere between $400 on to $470 on Summit. So it is nice to see a cheaper option. I just don't know if it would be worth the cheaper price or just bite the bullet and go with a B&M.

I am skeptical of it saying it fits TJs, YJs, and XJs because I know TJs for sure have different shifters compared to XJs.

Thats not a bad price for a short throw. However, Id be inclined to make one myself. We have a how to somewhere in the DIY section.

If I remember correctly, it was @A-man930 that did the short throw and does not recommend doing it DIY.

I followed in the footsteps and inspiration of others. I haven't driven it yet, and I don't have the correct length stick on it, so I can't truly say if I'm satisfied or not.

If I were to do it again, I would be less conservative with the length added. Noting that this Novak piece is a full inch longer, I bet it's pretty great.

Edit: here is the thread.

Will the regular boot do?

Amazon Link

Not sure. The factory shifter body has a groove that remains the factory style boot. The Cosmo shifter doesn't look to have that groove.
