Eagle_SX4 Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Novak released a short throw AX-15 shifter back in January of this year has anyone tried it yet? It is basically just a taller version of the factory shifter using the factory service parts. Right now it is $375. https://www.novak-adapt.com/forum/d/57-new-product-ax15-short-throw-shifter

Sticker shock maybe but the B&M short shifter is going for anywhere between $400 on to $470 on Summit. So it is nice to see a cheaper option. I just don't know if it would be worth the cheaper price or just bite the bullet and go with a B&M.
89 MJ Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I am skeptical of it saying it fits TJs, YJs, and XJs because I know TJs for sure have different shifters compared to XJs.
ghetdjc320 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Thats not a bad price for a short throw. However, Id be inclined to make one myself. We have a how to somewhere in the DIY section.
fiatslug87 Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Has anyone tried this one out of Canada? eBay Link

They are cheaper on their website. I don't think it comes with a boot you would have to source one. https://cosmoracing.com/en/jeep-comanche-1989-1992-4-0l-6cyls-ax15-5-speeds-sport-short-shifter-jeep

I followed in the footsteps and inspiration of others. I haven't driven it yet, and I don't have the correct length stick on it, so I can't truly say if I'm satisfied or not. If I were to do it again, I would be less conservative with the length added. Noting that this Novak piece is a full inch longer, I bet it's pretty great.
