Adjustable control arms

I have a rough country 4.5 in lift. I had issues after lifting with the coils not sitting completely straight - the bump stops would contact the middle of the spring and the front axle seemed like it was swooping towards the back of the truck. I replaced the track bar with an aftermarket adjustable one and I'm assuming adjustable lower control arms would help too. Curious if this is a good way to go and if so what brands to look for. I don't really want to do a long arm kit as I have a peugot transmission and it would require another adapter to work with most kits.

I’ve heard Core 4x4 ones are good. Another option is control arm drop brackets, like @Htchevyii has. I’ve heard they make the ride much better.

I bent and broke both stock lower control arm brackets off before and replaced with some adjustable ones but they’re just not enough and the control arm doesn’t seem to stay put where I set it

Would you mind posting up some pictures of what you mean?

I purchased these brackets shown below and welded it in to the axle. Seems like the control arm won't really stay where I position it within the slot - it ends up just sliding all the way to the front which pushes the axle towards the rear of the vehicle

Ok, now I’m following. I would guess that you’re supposed to use something like a camber bolt for those, but I’m not sure. The control arm drop brackets I mentioned are for the body side of the control arm, but they wouldn’t solve this problem.

Those brackets are for later model Dana 30s like on ZJs (some ZJs?) and TJs. They need cam bolts/washers for properly alignment.

Edit… Carter beat me to it.

Whichever arms you use, you could weld a heavy washer to those brackets to make them use a stationary bolt and get rid of the slot.

Good idea, ill see if they're still moving around once i get the new control arms on. Thanks for everyone's input!

This is what you need: https://blackmagicbrakes.com/ols/categories/johnny-joint-washers

MJs used a cam slot in the frame side bracket. As others mentioned, later model jeeps moved the cam slot to the axle bracket which is what you picked up. I’m assuming you still have the cam slot on the frame side brackets?? The washers listed above delete the cam slot when running adjustable control arms.

I have CORE teir 1, JKS and Rusty's upper and lower control arms. Rusty's has changed their design since. I like COREs. Good basic design, and a good price. JKS is good too.

I do have the control arm brackets like the OP pictures. With the cam bolts it works good. I think TJs have them.
