Sport Bar

I have a question for all you Comanche faithful. I’m going to Line-X my bed for my 1987 Jeep Comanche and I’m also thinking of getting my original Sports Bar Line-X. Should I Line-X my original Sports Bar or should I just get it painted?

I painted mine with VHT Roll Bar Paint and after a few years UV rays got to it.   I could keep repainting it but I'll probably get it powder coated.   As for LINE-X, that's a commitment.   If you don't like it it will be very hard to remove.   I had my bed LINE-Xd and had the UV additive included.   After 3 years I am very happy with it.

Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'm going to go with a simple paint job on the sports bar and later I'll powder coat it. I'll LineEx the Bed.

Have you gotten a quote for the linex yet? If so, how did they quote you for the job?

When I had mine Line-Xed there were two prices for short or long bed, additional if you wanted it over the bed rails and extra if you wanted the UV coating. You can email them and they’ll send a quote with all the options.

Line-X is quoting me $745 for their premium service - short bed only.

Defiantly remove it and ship it to North Carolina so that I can paint it..... Then install it on G's Chief! 

 

Seriously though, paint it. Line-x would look goofy and greatly reduce its resale value.

BTW, I'm looking for suggestions on lights for the sports bar (I'll be using the same lights for fog lights). Personally, I like the square lights over the circle lights. If anyone has pictures of a set up they have on their MJ, please share. Thanks
