  1. Hello everyone, I'm about to purchase and install RUSTY'S MJ COMANCHE 4.5" SPRING PACK KIT on my 1987 Jeep Comanche Pioneer 4x4 Automatic with the Dana 44 in the rear. Based on what I know, this truck is pretty much stock and the Dana 44 is original. Once I get Rusty's 4.5 Lift Kit installed, I want to get 32" tires on it... should I regear my differentials? If so, what should I regaer them to? IMG_5445.pdf
  2. Hello Everyone, Just wondering if there are any Southern California Comanche experts I should know about for when my Comanche needs work.
  3. Looking for some help. I'm wanting to repair my Spare Tire Carrier. Its components are working but I need to get the end piece of the wire and the bolt/nut that crimps on to the wire to make it work. I don't know the names of these two components, if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it. I'm posting a picture of my Spare Tire Carrier as it is and a picture I found on ebay which shows the components I'm looking for. Hopefully someone out there in the Jeep Comanche community can help me identify these parts, better yet, if you can let me know where to buy them I would be very appreciative.
  4. Hello all, I'm looking for ideas on how to mount my spare tire. Do you know of any awesome tire mount carriers, I was looking to mount it on the bed of my Comanche. However, I'll take any ideas and suggestions. If you got pictures, please share. BTW, tire size would not exceed 32". Thanks
  5. Towing mirrors are good. I like the look too.
  6. Just wanted to add some pictures of my Jeep Comanche. I have finished with the exterior. Next on to the interior. I need to get the headliner and Visors done, as well as, get the radio installed - I purchase the Electronic Grand Prix (https://www.crutchfield.com/p_068GRANM2A/RetroSound-Grand-Prix-M2A.html) for my MJ.
  7. Quick Update... So, I’ve done a few things to my Comanche since I got it. 1. Valve cover gasket replaced 2. Rear main seal replaced 3. Oil pan gasket replaced 3. A/C retrofit and recharge 4. Powder Coated sports bar 5. Install sports bar lights 6. Install fog lights 7. Install turbine wheels Attach are some pictures of the recently installed Lights & Sports Bar.
  8. Thanks for the information. I was able to get it done and it seems to be working so far. Will continue monitoring it as I use my Comanche.
  9. I was thinking of doing the conversion to R134a.
  10. Hello Everyone, I'm looking to replace my AC Unit on my 1987 Jeep Comanche 4X4 4.0L. If anyone has any advice on what I should do in terms of what AC Unit to buy and what to look out for as potential issues, I would greatly appreciate your input. Thanks Better yet, if anyone knows anyone who is able to do this job in Southern California, let them know I'm hiring and share my post with them.
  11. Can you give me more information on the lights you run? The full name and part # of the lights? Thanks
  12. Regarding the sports bar, does anyone know the size screws it takes? I'm missing one and would like to replace it with an OEM piece if possible.
  13. BTW, I'm looking for suggestions on lights for the sports bar (I'll be using the same lights for fog lights). Personally, I like the square lights over the circle lights. If anyone has pictures of a set up they have on their MJ, please share. Thanks
  14. Hey everyone, I just got my 1987 Jeep Comanche Pioneer Sports Bar powder coated and I am ready to get some lights for it. I'm looking for something similar to the original ones but hopefully brighter. Any ideas on what sport bar & fog lights are out there that would look awesome on my Comanche. I am looking to keep both sports bar and fog lights the same and I do like the square lights over the circle lights.
  15. So, I ended up getting it powder coated. Thanks for the input.
  16. Line-X is quoting me $745 for their premium service - short bed only.
  17. It had 109,968 miles (I drove 517 miles to get home so now its at 110,5XX). I paid $8,500 for it.
  18. Thanks for the input everyone. I think I'm going to go with a simple paint job on the sports bar and later I'll powder coat it. I'll LineEx the Bed.
