x2 on eBay. Expect to pay somewhere around $200/side for good quality tails.

Ouch, I guess I'll start looking in the PnP's again. I pasted some up a few years back. The price at the PnPs went up. I tired selling a few of mine, but its a PITA.

Anyone know where to get new taillights for a 1988 jeep Comanche ?

new housings don't exist, BUT there's a company that should be releasing re-pops of the lenses soon.  :L:   they just aren't out yet.

just the lenses.  you'll need to soften the glue and pry yours off, then glue the new ones on.  (after cleaning up the inside of the housing of course)

depends on price.  if they are cheap enough, then I imagine it's only a matter of time before you "need" new ones, just for the bling factor. :D  I imagine most all of us will.

The housing shape looks like it would be fairly trivial to 3D print - the lenses are the hard part.  I'm sure there will be enough demand for the housing itself once the lenses come out for someone to step up and make them.

Yes I have been trying to find a housing without a lens for a little while, not actively searching, just been passively looking for a cheap or free one.  I really only need one side as each side is the mirror of the other.  If I can get one to model from I'd gladly make the housings.

are you saying that you... won't be buying a pair of repops?  because (assuming an affordable price) I'm betting you will. :D  that'll give you a item to scan after you pull off the old lens.  :L:  not sure what to do about the reflective bits inside (the ones required by DOT so your truck illuminates when headlights hit it) :dunno:  I haven't had time to put my energy into dismantling one yet.
