Long start, high rev

Recently purchased an MJ, I’ve noticed that it takes a few cranks to get it started and then it revs real high on its own once it’s running. I’ve heard of Renixs having long cranks but something seems off to me

 

*side note: the tac doesn’t work in case you notice in the video*

have you checked the intake manifold bolts?

also start time seems normal from what i can hear

hopefully it will work through imgur, also make sure the audio is on, it defaults to off for me

sounds about how long mine takes to start up when it's been sittin for a while

before anything else:

Go to www.cruiser54.com and complete Tips 1 through 5. Intake bolt tightening as mentioned.

Every time I start it, the start gets progressively longer

seems just like mine, sometimes mine revs higher on cold mornings upon startup but then drops down just like yours, we all just living that renix life.

Cruisers tips are a Renix must. Sounds like mine when I got it.
