scottie005 Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 Recently purchased an MJ, I’ve noticed that it takes a few cranks to get it started and then it revs real high on its own once it’s running. I’ve heard of Renixs having long cranks but something seems off to me *side note: the tac doesn’t work in case you notice in the video* IMG_5554.MOV
jdog Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 video doesn't work have you checked the intake manifold bolts? also start time seems normal from what i can hear
scottie005 Posted April 15, 2021 Author Posted April 15, 2021 https://imgur.com/a7spcED hopefully it will work through imgur, also make sure the audio is on, it defaults to off for me
Jesse J Posted April 15, 2021 Posted April 15, 2021 sounds about how long mine takes to start up when it's been sittin for a while
cruiser54 Posted April 16, 2021 Posted April 16, 2021 before anything else: Go to www.cruiser54.com and complete Tips 1 through 5. Intake bolt tightening as mentioned.
scottie005 Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 Every time I start it, the start gets progressively longer
scottie005 Posted April 18, 2021 Author Posted April 18, 2021 Ooo my apologies! I didn’t see your first reply. I’ll give it a shot(s)! thank you (:
cruiser54 Posted April 18, 2021 Posted April 18, 2021 LOL. Be thorough. We'll get to the bottom of this.
jpnjake Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 seems just like mine, sometimes mine revs higher on cold mornings upon startup but then drops down just like yours, we all just living that renix life.
JMO413 Posted April 19, 2021 Posted April 19, 2021 Cruisers tips are a Renix must. Sounds like mine when I got it. https://youtu.be/Fa-8ql2jYs8 Here's a link to mine starting.
