I don't really see a lot of... windows in that thing, so I doubt it's going to be the main tow rig just yet.

I vaguely remember him addressing that question in one of the videos.  I believe he said that the two would be used for specific jobs.

I wonder if he has shown all his "shakedown" runs - I only noticed one prior run and they did not have any problems.  That thing is a beast.

he built this for his "1 ton" recovery rigs. for offroad recoverys that need a little more oomf than the banana can provide.

it would seem there's a decent chance they just weren't looking and caught the edge with a tire.  bummer. :doh:

 

but in other cases, the chances of rolling over due to uneven terrain (or hitting a tree, or nailing your rockers on a berm, etc) increase substantially as speed increases.  and speeds need to increase to bandaid the traction limitations of street tires. :(
