89 MJ Posted March 27, 2021 Share Posted March 27, 2021 This is my Mom’s 2017 JKU. We got it last year with 35,000 miles on it. It had tipped on the driver side and skidded down the road. We fixed it and got it inspected. At that point, no mods were done, so I never started a build thread. Now the mods are going to be starting, so I am starting a build thread. It has had a set of rock sliders installed and we just installed the fancy Rubicon hood. Thanks to @eaglescout526 for hooking us up with the hood vents. 89 MJ Posted June 9, 2021 Author Share Posted June 9, 2021 Teaser pic. It’s a Metalcloak 3.5” lift, or so it said. It’s up about 7-8” over stock. The sway bar end links are 6.5” longer than stock. This is with the front tires sitting on the ground, the lift is not supporting the front end. Yes I know the suspension will settle, but I don’t think it’s coming down to the 3.5” that it is supposed to be. Not that I’m complaining, but my mom is 5’2”. The hood is up to her chin. Because this lift clearly isn’t 3.5”, I have no idea for driveshafts. It looks like the front will work once we get the exhaust spacers in.
