krustyballer16
what steel did you end up using? The mud flap brackets are galvanized. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
krustyballer16
I love it that you made the first batch out of galvinized stock or at least my 3 sets. Theres 10 sets there. 3 for you and supposedly the other 7 are spoken for. Cheapest rust prevention option. At least theyll last as long as the truck...Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
krustyballer16
Yay! Deal! That'll probably have to wait a month or so. I need to cut em out of my junk xj too. I have the floor braces too by the way. There is a driver side drilled out in the back of that blue 88 swb you walked by it last time and we can drill out the spot welds on the rusty red rocket. It will be soo much fun! Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
krustyballer16
The white swb frame I gave you is an 86 by the way. If I can ever get to the other 1 up north its an 88 for comparison swb as well. I have an 88,90 and my blue 91 sitting next to that frame. I'll have to see how it compares to the 86 long bed. But black Betty is an EARLY 86. Sent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk
INjake89mj
Brandon, I have a good set of factory rockers and cab corners if you need some to copy. I may be in your area in a few weeks, we'll have to work something out!

I'm very interested in what you come up with for rockers!!
krustyballer16
I know I can't do the very corner of the cab corner, the rounded part. But i can do the flat section just above thatAnd ya, rockers might be tricky. Maybe not. I'll have to see what the engineers at work say. 87MJTIM
I purchased a driver's side rocker panel from Z&M Jeep a few years ago at the York Jeep show. I have not used it yet. I have held it up against the original. It looks about right. I can post a picture later. (However, if it matches the way a bed side panel I purchased previously did, I may have a nice piece of scrap metal.)

Them, C2C and another company all don't fit at all. So I cut em up and made my ownSent from my SM-G892A using Tapatalk

krustyballer16
These are copies of factory brackets. You can trim a piece of whatever to fit em. I may send a pattern of a factory one on paper with them just for people that don't have factory flaps Do you need OEM mud flaps to run with these brackets? DesertRat1991
Great info! Def looks like you could trim a universal mud flap to work with these. Thanks.
HOrnbrod
I don't think they look so hot, but they do a good job preventing road debris from scratching up the lower rear fender.
Minuit
I much prefer using front mud flaps and modifying them. Doesn't hurt that the factory front XJ flaps are still obtainable. But at least the brackets will be around for those who want them.
