johnj92131
Tuesday saw 124F temperature in San Diego County at Ocotilla Wells, Ca. Ocotilla Wells is in the desert just off highway 8 after you cross the local mountains. That is a record high temperature for San Diego County. Death Valley was the hottest spot in the nation on Tuesday at 127F. Glad the a/c is working in the house.

fiatslug87
It was 110° in my backyard on Sunday, a lot of sitting in the shade, listening to music and drinking beer.

shelbyluvv
We hit 119* here on Tuesday. But... It's a dry heat! The swap cooler on the house is trying it's best to keep it cool but it can only knock it down about 30* or so. It is warm in the house but a quick trip outside to give the chickens a handful of frozen peas and a cold drink lets you appreciate the 30* difference in temperature. I had to set up a misting system on the chicken coop to keep my girls healthy. This heat is crazy for this time of year.

Wait till September/October when the Santa Ana's start. FYI, the Santa Ana winds are caused by a flow of air from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. The air heats up 3 degrees for each 1000 feet it drops. So by the time it hits the coast it is 45 degrees hotter than when it left the Rockies. So nice 60-70 degree air becomes 105-115 when it hits southern California. But that is not the worst thing. Brush/forest fires get feed by the Santa Ana's and rage totally out of control till the winds die down. The Ceder fire in 2004 burned 280,000 acres, destroyed 3000+ homes and killed 15 people In San Diego.
DirtyComanche
It was uh, 65ish today, if I did my cencible units to farchaic conversion right, sunny. I enjoyed adult beverages outside. Thought about hitting up one of the lakes... Maybe tomorrow.

Knucklehead97
After this course of rainstorms in Alabama I sense we're going to have a terrible week of musky, humid, wet heat. I'm just glad I finally have a car with AC :D
cody4359
90 today in seattle/tacoma and 96 tomorrow. Atleast I'll be getting paid double time to be miserable in the humid heat Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
